Prayer request for a ### and ###'s children

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer request for a Mother and father that passed away's children. There is issues with the father's land and his cattle. When the mother was still alive she wasn't informed that the land was given to her as well as the cattle. So the cattle was scattered. Had been scattered, homeless. Their children are finally finding out the cattle and the land were supposed to be together. The tribe is matrilenal. The brand was given to the daughter. The family of father had illegally built houses on the land. The children are now starting to write a letter of complaint, letter stating that they never gave their permission for anyone to have their portions of the land.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these children who are seeking justice and restoration for the inheritance left by their father and mother. The land and cattle were meant to be a blessing, a provision for their family, yet deception and unlawful actions have scattered what was rightfully theirs. We grieve with them over this injustice, and we stand in agreement that God is a God of justice, truth, and restoration. He sees the affliction of His people and hears their cries, just as He did for the Israelites in Egypt.

The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 22:28**, *"Don’t move the ancient boundary stone which your fathers have set."* This land and these cattle were a legacy, a boundary set by their father, and it is wrong for others to encroach upon it through deceit or force. The Lord also declares in **Deuteronomy 19:14**, *"You shall not remove your neighbor’s landmark, which they of old time have set, in your inheritance which you shall inherit, in the land that Yahweh your God gives you to possess it."* What has been done to these children is not only unlawful in the eyes of man but is an affront to God’s order. The tribe’s matrilineal customs may have further complicated this matter, but we know that God’s justice transcends human traditions when they are used to oppress rather than protect.

We also recall the words of **Proverbs 13:22**, *"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous."* Their father intended to bless his children, and though sinful hands have tried to steal that blessing, we trust that God will restore what has been taken. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (**John 10:10**). This is not just about land and cattle—it’s about the provision and future of this family, and we will not stand by while the enemy seeks to rob them of it.

Yet, as we pray for justice, we must also pray for wisdom and discernment for these children. Writing a letter of complaint is a step, but they must seek godly counsel and ensure their actions align with both the law of the land and the higher law of God. **Proverbs 15:22** tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* We urge them to seek wise, trustworthy advisors—perhaps even believers who can guide them in both legal and spiritual matters. Let them not act in haste or anger, but with the patience and clarity that comes from the Lord.

We also rebuke any spirit of greed, deceit, or oppression that has driven their relatives to take what was not theirs. The Lord sees their actions, and unless they repent, they will face His judgment. **Galatians 6:7** warns, *"Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap."* Those who have taken advantage of these children will answer to God if they do not make things right. Yet, we pray that even now, their hearts would be convicted, and they would choose to repent and restore what was stolen before further judgment comes.

Most importantly, we lift up these children’s hearts before the Lord. The loss of both parents is a deep wound, and the betrayal of family only adds to their pain. We pray that God would be their Father, their Comforter, and their Provider. **Psalm 68:5-6** declares, *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land."* Lord, be their Defender. Surround them with Your peace and with godly people who will stand with them in this fight. Let them know they are not alone—You are with them, and so are we, their brothers and sisters in Christ.

We also pray for unity among these siblings. In times like these, the enemy loves to sow discord, but let them stand together in love and purpose. **Psalm 133:1** says, *"See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"* Lord, bind them together in Your Spirit. Let no division or bitterness take root among them. Give them strength to forgive those who have wronged them, even as they seek justice. Forgiveness does not mean excusing sin, but it frees their hearts from the poison of resentment.

Finally, we pray for supernatural restoration. Just as the Israelites regained their land after exile, just as Job received double for his trouble, we ask that You, Lord, restore to these children what was stolen—even more abundantly than before. **Joel 2:25** promises, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."* Father, restore the cattle, restore the land, restore their dignity and their future. Let this be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that all may see and know that You are a God who fights for Your children.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of these children who are fighting for the inheritance their parents left them. Lord, You know the pain of losing both mother and father, and now the betrayal of family who have taken what was not theirs. We ask for Your justice to prevail. Expose every lie, every deceitful scheme, and bring to light the truth that has been hidden. Let the land and cattle that were scattered be restored, even as You gather Your people from the ends of the earth.

Give these children wisdom as they write their letters and seek legal recourse. Surround them with godly counselors who will guide them in righteousness. Protect them from those who would seek to intimidate or silence them. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (**Isaiah 54:17**).

We rebuke the spirits of greed and oppression that have driven their relatives to act unjustly. Convict their hearts, Lord, and bring them to repentance. If they refuse to turn from their ways, let Your justice be swift and thorough. Do not let the wicked triumph over the righteous.

Father, be their Provider. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (**Psalm 50:10**), and nothing is too hard for You. Restore what has been stolen, multiply what has been lost, and let this family experience Your abundance in ways they never imagined. Heal their hearts from the pain of betrayal and the grief of loss. Bind them together in unity, and let them find strength in You.

We declare that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against them. You, Lord, are their Shield and their Exceedingly Great Reward (**Genesis 15:1**). Let this situation turn for their good and Your glory. May their story be a testimony of Your faithfulness to future generations.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Advocate and our Justice, we pray. **Amen.**
