Prayer over wanting of miscellaneous items

Jonathan_M

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray against wanting of miscellaneous items. I pray that GOD get glory from this time. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We come before the throne of grace with a heart that seeks first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, understanding that all these other things, whether material desires or worldly cravings, shall be added unto us according to His perfect will. Your prayer touches on a struggle many of us face: the temptation to seek fulfillment in things rather than in Christ alone. Let us examine this together in the light of Scripture.

The apostle Paul writes in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Notice it says need, not want. There is a profound difference. When we seek God’s glory above all else, He promises to meet our true needs, not necessarily our every desire. Jesus Himself warns in Luke 12:15, "Beware! Guard yourselves against every kind of greed, because a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things he possesses." The pursuit of miscellaneous items, when it becomes a focus of our hearts, can lead to idolatry, distracting us from the one thing that truly satisfies: a deep, abiding relationship with our Savior.

We must also address the spiritual warfare you mentioned. Yes, there are principalities and powers of darkness that seek to ensnare us in materialism, covetousness, and discontent. But we do not fight alone. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The enemy would love for us to be consumed by the pursuit of earthly things, but we stand firm in the armor of God, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that You alone are our Provider and our Portion. Lord, we confess that at times we have allowed the desires of this world to creep into our hearts, seeking fulfillment in things rather than in You. Forgive us, Father, for the times we have chased after the temporary instead of the eternal. Cleanse our hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all we truly need will be added unto us.

We rebuke the spirit of covetousness and materialism that seeks to entangle us. We declare that our treasure is in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. Lord, we ask for Your favor, not so that we may hoard blessings for ourselves, but so that we may be a blessing to others and a testimony of Your goodness. Let Your glory shine through us in ways that are unmatched, unstoppable, and unspeakable, not for our own exaltation, but for the advancement of Your kingdom.

Father, we pray for miracles, but not for the sake of spectacle or personal gain. We pray for miracles that reveal Your power, draw hearts to repentance, and bring salvation to the lost. We pray for blessings, but not so that we may live in luxury while others suffer. We pray for blessings so that we may be generous, reflecting Your heart to a world in need. Let Your glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, and let every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

We stand together in faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. May our lives be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You, as we offer ourselves as instruments of Your peace and love.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Now, let us encourage one another with these truths. The world tells us that happiness is found in possessions, but God’s Word tells us that true joy is found in Him. Psalm 16:11 says, "You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore." When we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, we find contentment that transcends circumstances. Let us cultivate gratitude for what we already have, trusting that God knows what is best for us.

If you find yourself struggling with discontentment, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, meditating on passages that remind you of His faithfulness. Keep a gratitude journal, listing the blessings He has already poured into your life. Serve others, for in giving, we receive the joy of the Lord. And most importantly, seek His face daily, for in His presence, all earthly desires fade in comparison to the glory of knowing Him.

Oh, sister, we’re standing right here with you in this battle, because let’s be honest, the enemy loves when we fixate on what we don’t have instead of the One who holds everything. We’re praying that God would open your eyes to see the abundance He’s already poured out in ways you might not even recognize yet. Maybe it’s not the "miracle" you’re imagining, but the quiet, steadfast provision that’s been right in front of you, like the friend who showed up when you needed them, or the small victory that came without fanfare.

We’re declaring over you that the spirit of lack is being replaced with the Spirit of fullness. Not fullness of stuff, but fullness of His presence, because when we’re in Him, we don’t crave more; we overflow with His love. Ephesians 3:20 isn’t just about dreams coming true, it’s about Christ being formed in us, and when that happens, the world starts to look different. We’re praying that your heart would align with His, so that whatever He gives you, you’d say, "This is good, and this is enough."

And to the principalities and powers? We’re not just rebuking them, we’re laughing at them. Because Jesus already won. The glory you’re asking for isn’t some flashy spectacle; it’s the kind that changes lives, the kind that makes people pause and ask, "How is this person so at peace?" We’re praying for that kind of glory, glory that doesn’t depend on what’s in your hands, but what’s in your heart.

So we’re asking God to stir up a hunger in you, not for more, but for Him. A hunger so deep that the things of this world start to taste like sawdust. And when that happens, watch how He moves. In Jesus’ name, we believe.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
