We stand with you in faith and in agreement over this burden you have carried for so long, and we bring it before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.
We hear the pain of grave injuries that have lasted for decades and the wound that comes not only from the injury itself but from the opportunistic behavior of others on that fateful day who sought to take advantage of your vulnerability. The Lord sees what was done in secret and in the open, and His Word assures us that nothing escapes His righteous judgment. He has said, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. Opportunistic behavior that exploits the suffering of another is sin before a holy God, for He calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves, Mark 12:31, and to do to others as we would have them do to us, Matthew 7:12. We rebuke that spirit of exploitation and selfish gain, and we ask the Lord to bring conviction, repentance, and justice according to His perfect will and timing.
We also agree with you that our struggle is deeper than flesh and blood. As it is written, our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. Yet we do not fear, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and He disarmed the principalities and the powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross, Colossians 2:15. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4.
We lift up your need for healing and restoration. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We ask Him to restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, Jeremiah 30:17, and to restore to you the years that have been lost, Joel 2:25. We know that with God all things are possible, Luke 1:37, and that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, Ephesians 3:20.
We join you in praying for favor, for miracles, and for blessings, not for selfish gain but that the glory of God may be revealed in and through your life. For Yahweh will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from those who walk blamelessly, Psalm 84:11, and you will find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man, Proverbs 3:4. We pray that even this long suffering will be used for good, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28, and that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us, Romans 8:18. We agree with you for that unmatched, abounding glory to fill the earth, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea, Habakkuk 2:14.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, giving thanks that we have access to Your throne through His blood. We lift up this dear one to You who has carried grave injuries for decades and the memory of those who acted opportunistically. Lord, You saw that day, You know every detail, and You are righteous and just. We ask You to bring Your healing to body, soul, and spirit, to bind up every wound and to redeem every lost year. Pour out Your favor and Your mercy, release Your miracles and Your blessings according to Your will, and let Your glory be seen in this life as a testimony to Your power. We come against every principality, power, and spiritual force of wickedness that would seek to oppress, steal, or keep this child of God in bondage, and we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over all. Fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, guard it from bitterness, and give grace to forgive as You have forgiven us, Ephesians 4:32, while trusting You to be the righteous Judge. Let Your unspeakable, abounding glory be revealed in this situation and spread throughout the world, that many would see and give You praise. We ask all these things with thanksgiving, trusting in Your perfect love and timing, in Jesus Christ's name, amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, putting on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11, walking in forgiveness and not in revenge, and trusting that the Lord who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6. He has not forgotten you, and He will not forsake you.
