Prayer over my body

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father I pray over my body that you would touch it and open all the door of opportunity in my body that if there is opportunity that I wouldn’t be closed off because I feel ashamed or poor in spirit. Give me the strength to not be in a place I do not want to be in and give me hope that I was not used as a broken vessel for earthy desires I pray in Jesus name.

We hear your heart in this prayer, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting up your body, soul, and spirit to the Lord. Your words reveal a deep longing for healing, restoration, and dignity, things that God desires to give you abundantly. The shame and heaviness you carry are not from Him, for Scripture tells us, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). Jesus did not come to leave you in brokenness but to make you whole.

First, we must address the reality that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB) declares: "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If there has been any misuse of your body, whether by your own choices or the actions of others, we rebuke that in Jesus’ name. The enemy has no right to claim what God has redeemed. You are not a "broken vessel" but a vessel being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16 WEB). The past does not define you; Christ does.

We also want to gently but firmly address the mention of "earthly desires." If there has been sexual sin, whether through your own actions or those forced upon you, it must be brought into the light. Fornication, adultery, and all sexual immorality are clearly condemned in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, Hebrews 13:4 WEB). However, God’s grace is greater than all sin. If you have been a victim of abuse, we grieve with you and declare that God sees your pain and will bring justice. If you have participated in sin, we encourage you to repent and receive the cleansing that comes through the blood of Jesus. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB).

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Lord, we lift up this precious one to You, asking that You would touch every part of their body, soul, and spirit. Where there has been shame, we declare freedom. Where there has been brokenness, we declare restoration. Where the enemy has sought to steal, kill, or destroy, we declare that Your life and abundance are taking ground.

Father, we ask that You open every door of opportunity in their life that You have ordained. Remove any lies that tell them they are unworthy or closed off. Your Word says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We declare that hope over them now. Let them walk in the confidence of who they are in Christ, beloved, chosen, and redeemed.

Lord, give them strength to resist any place or situation that does not align with Your will. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). If there has been sexual sin, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. If they have been a victim, we ask for Your healing touch to restore what was taken. Let them know that they are not defined by what was done to them or by what they have done. They are defined by the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

We rebuke every spirit of shame, guilt, and condemnation in Jesus’ name. We declare that they are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity, purpose, and power. Let them see themselves as You see them, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB).

Father, we thank You that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28 WEB). Give them the courage to step into the future You have for them, free from the weight of the past. We pray for godly relationships, a spouse who loves You first, and a marriage that honors You, if that is Your will for them. Let their body be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You (Romans 12:1 WEB).

We seal this prayer in the blood of Jesus and declare that Your will be done in their life. May they walk in the fullness of Your love, grace, and truth. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on these truths and surround yourself with believers who can speak life into you. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB). There is no greater hope than knowing Him. If you have already given your life to Christ, press into His presence daily. Read His Word, pray without ceasing, and let the Holy Spirit transform you from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18 WEB). You are not alone, and you are deeply loved.

We hear the deep ache behind your words, the feeling of being closed off because of shame, the fear of having been used or diminished. When we carry that kind of weight, it can settle into our bodies and our spirits, making us feel unworthy of open doors and fresh starts.

What strikes us is that you’re reaching toward hope even while wrestling with these feelings. You’re asking for strength not to stay in places you don’t want to be. That’s not the voice of someone broken beyond repair. That’s the voice of someone still fighting, still believing God can touch what feels shut down.

One step that might help is inviting Jesus gently into the specific memories or moments that shaped this shame, not to relive the pain, but to ask Him, “Where were You when I felt this way?” Some people find that as they sit quietly with that question, the sense of being alone or diminished begins to shift. You don’t have to force it; just offer Him access and see what He brings.

You are not just the sum of what others took or what you regret. And shame doesn’t get the final word over a body and a life that belong to Christ.

Jesus, we pray for this one who feels the ache of shame and the weight of being closed off. Touch them with Your restoring presence. Where they have felt used, bring dignity. Where hope has thinned, send fresh courage to believe they are still Yours and still whole in Your sight. Give them strength to step away from what they don’t want, and open doors of real opportunity for healing and purpose. In Your name. Amen.

The broken column stands before us, a memorial of resolutions that ended with a "but." Yet there is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you! The metaphor of broken bones also seems to indicate that the greater powers of the soul are grieved and afflicted. He suffers our hope to lose its joy-creating power, and like a broken bone, our very hope for a better land becomes a pining disquietude at our present forlorn condition.

These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. It is a sweet thing to get even a broken text from His mouth. His least Words are better than the best of others. Best of all, as the Healer of broken hearts, God has chosen One whose own heart was broken. And you, poor fallen woman, wherever you may be, though nobody gives you a good word and though all pass by you in the streets for very shame, there is one who binds up even harlots' broken hearts and has mercy upon them!

The vessel is not filled with the waves yet. The water is not up to her bulwarks yet, she still floats. When she can scarcely keep from sinking and is almost going down by the head, then the Captain will stand in the front of the vessel and calm the seas. There is the brightness of a ray of hope this very morning, only may God turn it from a possible into an actual hope and give you a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ!

Let every man know, therefore, that whatever his strength may be, of body, mind, or spirit, if it is his own, it will one day fail him. The dead cannot gather strength or walk up and down. I do not ask you to pray for strength, but to cry for life! While you are yet without strength, believe that Christ died for the ungodly. Swoon away into the arms of the almighty Savior and then it will be well to have swooned and you will find, in Him, your strength!

They that wait upon the Lord in that way, by feeding upon the body and blood of Christ, shall find Him to be meat, indeed, and drink indeed, and so they shall renew their strength. If you are waiting upon the Lord in the sense of complete reliance upon the merit of Jesus, you shall, in dying, renew your strength and leap out of your frail body into the Presence and Glory of God. Strength is given, of that we have spoken. The Lord Himself says, "I will strengthen them." God Himself will impart strength to His chosen and, therefore, it will be fitly infused and wisely balanced.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The body is indeed an earthen vessel, made of clay, yet the choice lies with us whether it becomes a vessel of honor or of dishonor. You feel broken and used, as though your vessel has been shattered by earthly desires, but listen: the same Paul who called our body a jar of clay also said, “If a man purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, meet for the Master’s use.” Not merely cleansed, but cleansed out thoroughly. The fornicator and the covetous become earthen vessels by their own doing, yet Paul himself was once an earthen vessel and became gold. Judas was gold and made himself earthen. So it is not nature but choice that defiles or purifies. Do not despair over the shame of past sins; that very shame can be turned to holiness, and where holiness is, there is all confidence.

Your Father in heaven knows you have need of all these things, strength for your body, hope for your soul. He is not some distant God but your Father, and no father overlooks his children in extremity. When you cry out feeling poor in spirit and trapped in a place you do not want to be, remember the anchor of hope. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and steadfast, and it enters into that within the veil, where Jesus has gone as our forerunner. Through hope you are already in heaven, even while standing on earth. It is hope that keeps the vessel steady when ten thousand winds buffet it. Patience works probation, and probation hope, and hope does not put to shame.

You fear you were a broken vessel used for vain desires. But consider: Christ can be magnified in your body now, whether by a life delivered from sin or even by the daily dying that bears about His death, so that His resurrection life shines through. The things that seem most shameful, like a body seemingly ruined, are often the very venerable records of our good, for the type served the reality. Let no one move you with unseasonable censure; Christ did not reverse His judgment for the Pharisees’ fault-finding. Purge yourself, and you become a vessel prepared for every good work. This is no burdensome command. It requires no violence, only a will set on hope, a heart that trusts the Father, and a body yielded to holiness. By faith and by hope and by a forward will, even as the outer man suffers, the soul grows brighter, like gold refined in the fire.
