Prayer over GOD'S commandments

Jonathan_M

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray for help with obeying GOD'S commandments, large and small and teaching them to all. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith, prayer and agreement over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We join with you in faith and agreement over this desire to obey God fully and to see His glory cover the earth, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

Your heart to obey His commandments both large and small and to teach them to others is pleasing to God. Jesus said in Matthew 5:19 that whoever does and teaches even the least commandments will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven, and He also said in John 14:15 if you love me, keep my commandments. We are reminded in 1 John 5:3 that this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not grievous. Our obedience is not to earn salvation by works, but it flows from love and gratitude for the grace we have received through Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are called to be doers of the word and not hearers only as James 1:22 teaches, and to diligently teach them as it is written in Deuteronomy 6:6-7 that these words which we command you this day shall be on your heart and you shall teach them diligently to your children.

We also stand with you in prayer against the spiritual opposition you mentioned, for we know in Ephesians 6:12 that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore we put on the whole armor of God and stand firm in Christ who has already overcome.

We pray with you for favor and blessing, not as empty words but according to His will, for Psalm 5:12 says you will bless the righteous, Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. And we pray for miracles that point to Christ and for His glory to fill the earth as Habakkuk 2:14 declares that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh as the waters cover the sea.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. We ask You to give us a heart that loves Your commandments and delights to obey them. Help us by Your Holy Spirit to walk in obedience in the small things and the great things, and give us boldness and wisdom to teach Your truth faithfully to all You place before us. Pour out Your favor and Your blessings according to Your perfect will, and work miracles that bring glory to Your name and draw many to salvation. We come against every principality and power of darkness in high places and declare the victory of the cross and the blood of Jesus over them. Let Your unstoppable and abounding glory be revealed in our lives, our families, and all over the world. Strengthen our faith to stand in agreement and to walk in Your ways all our days. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer so openly. We hear your love for God and your desire to walk faithfully and help others do the same.

We are standing with you in that. Wanting to obey in both large and small things is a beautiful desire, and we have found it helps to see it as training over time rather than trying to get everything perfect at once. Small, steady faithfulness each day shapes us more than big moments alone.

You also named the reality of spiritual opposition. We believe that battle is real, and at the same time our peace comes from keeping our eyes on Christ and walking closely with Him in prayer, in His Word, and with other believers.

One simple step that may help this week is to choose one area of obedience God has already put on your heart and focus there, and look for one natural opportunity to live it out or talk about it with someone close to you.

Father, we bring our friend before You and thank You for their hunger to follow You. Give them wisdom and strength to walk in Your ways, joy in teaching others by word and example, and protection and peace as they trust You. Guide their steps and let Your glory be seen in their life. In Jesus name, amen.

Your desire to obey the Lord in all things, large and small, and to teach His commandments to others is a gracious work which God Himself has put within your heart, and we do gladly stand with you in faith and prayer and agreement over it.

We join you in asking the Lord for strength to walk in full and exact obedience. As it was said to Joshua, Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded thee, turn not from it to the right hand or to the left. The exactness of obedience is the very essence of obedience, and to persist in scrupulous obedience throughout life requires the highest practical courage. We pray that God will give you that courage, not the obedience of a slave who is tuned to the crack of the whip, but the obedience of a child, the obedience of love and of faith, cheerfully rendered because you love Him who first loved you.

We pray also that you may be kept in the middle path, not turning aside, and that you may both keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God. There are precepts the nature of which we have not yet fully understood, and we must search them out that we may know all His will concerning us. May the Lord make your obedience deeply spiritual and mature, springing from a heart that has been called by grace out of darkness into His marvellous light and justified by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. For His commandments are not grievous, and to those who trust Him they yield the peaceable fruits of righteousness.

We remember before the Lord your prayer for favor and blessing and for His glory to be seen abounding over all the world. We ask that He would grant you favor in His sight, and such blessings and miracles as accord with His holy will and make His name great, not for our own exalting but for His praise. And as you have asked prayer against principalities and powers of darkness in high places, we wrestle with you in prayer, knowing that we were sometimes darkness ourselves, but now are light in the Lord. May He guard you from the snares of the enemy, keep you in His Word, and cause His light to shine through you to others.

We pray that as you go in the way of obedience, actively running upon your Master's errands and teaching what He has commanded, you may find that obedience rewarded as those faithful women found it who ran to bring the disciples word, for as they went Jesus met them. May you know that same assuring presence, that holy fear mixed with great joy, and be refreshed in communion with the risen Christ, and then sent forth again to declare His wondrous works with pen and voice as long as life shall last.

All these things we humbly ask with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation, and who has said, If ye love me, keep my commandments. May He keep you, teach you, and cause His glory to rest upon you and upon His people everywhere. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire to obey God's commandments, both large and small, and to teach them to others is pleasing to God and we gladly stand with you in prayer and agreement.

Scripture teaches that even what is called least among His commandments is great and high, and Christ Himself modeled humility in how He spoke of them. He did not set aside the law lightly but fulfilled it, and then gave His apostles the charge to teach all nations to observe all things whatsoever He has commanded. True obedience is not about the traditions or commandments of men, but about keeping the commandments of God from the heart, and then faithfully passing them on to others.

We pray with you now:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we thank You for Your Word and Your commandments which are holy and good. Give our brother and sister grace to obey You fully, in the small things and the great things, with a humble and faithful heart. Help them to walk in Your ways and to teach others to do the same with love and truth. Grant Your favor according to Your will, and work Your good purposes in their life for Your glory. Strengthen them against the schemes of darkness and the powers of this present evil, and clothe them with Your armor so they may stand firm. Let Your glory be seen in their life and in the world around them, and let all that is done bring honor to You. We ask that You keep them close to Christ, who alone is our salvation, and grow them in faith and obedience by Your Holy Spirit. All this we ask with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Your desire to obey God's commandments in both large and small matters and to teach them to others is a good and biblical desire, and I am glad to stand with you in prayer for it.

Scripture makes clear that obedience begins with our relationship with God. The first commandments concern loving God with all our heart, and that relationship is primary. We cannot hope to live rightly toward others unless we are first walking rightly with Him. To turn from those first duties is to live in an ungodly way, but to love Him is shown by keeping His word. That love and obedience are linked, and when we walk in His ways the Lord extends His mercy and covenant kindness.

We also cannot obey in our own strength. God Himself gives us His Spirit to work within us and to empower us to keep His statutes and to walk in His path. Our part is to trust Him and believe that He will do that work in us. As you hide His word in your heart and meditate on it, it becomes light and understanding and a power against sin and temptation. When Jesus was tempted, He answered from the Scriptures, and that same word dwelling richly in you will guard your mind and guide your steps. Choosing to walk in His truth is a daily decision to follow Him.

The Bible also teaches that the blessings of God are connected to hearkening to His voice and observing to do what He has commanded. When His people walk in His ways and keep His judgments, His blessings come upon them and overtake them. Your zeal for obedience can also be an encouragement to others and stir them to follow the Lord more faithfully.

You mentioned the battle against principalities and powers and darkness in high places. That battle is real, but it is spiritual, not flesh and blood. We wrestle against rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places, and the enemy works constantly to capture the mind with imaginations and desires that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. Our weapons are not of the flesh, but they are mighty through God to pull down strongholds, to cast down every high thing that lifts itself against Him, and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. For this we need the whole armor of God, the shield of faith by which we quench the fiery darts of the wicked one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. Standing in the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, in prayer and in the word, is how we stand in the evil day.

So I pray with you now that the Lord will fill you with His Spirit and give you strength to obey Him fully, to delight in the path of His commandments, and to teach them faithfully to others. I pray that He will guard your mind, make you steadfast against every assault of the enemy, and help you to take every thought captive to Christ. I pray that He will cause you to walk in His ways so that you may know His favor and blessing in the way He promises to those who hearken to Him, and that your life would reflect His glory. May all glory be His alone, as He works in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. Amen.
