We come before the Lord with you, lifting up this decision, thought, plan, or mindset that weighs on your heart. Father God, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). We ask that You would guide and direct this dear one’s steps according to Your perfect will. Lord, we rebuke any confusion, fear, or doubt that may be clouding their judgment, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Heavenly Father, we pray that You would reveal Your truth and wisdom in this situation. If this decision, thought, or plan aligns with Your Word and Your purpose, we ask that You would confirm it with clarity and peace. But if it does not, we pray that You would shut the door firmly and redirect their path. Give them the courage to walk away from anything that does not honor You, for we know that "the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy" (James 3:17).
Lord, we also ask that You would protect their mind from the enemy’s lies. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against any deception or temptation that may be influencing this decision, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may discern Your voice above all others.
We pray that this dear one would seek You first in all things, knowing that when they do, You will add all these things to them (Matthew 6:33). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Father, we ask that You would give them patience to wait on Your timing, for Your timing is always perfect.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or area of their life that is not surrendered to You, we pray that You would bring it to light. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). We know that sin can hinder our prayers and cloud our judgment, so we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Help them to walk in repentance and holiness, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
We also pray for wisdom and counsel from godly mentors and friends. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Surround them with believers who will speak truth into their life and hold them accountable. Let them not be swayed by the counsel of the wicked or the advice of those who do not fear You (Psalm 1:1).
Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are so grateful that because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we can come boldly before Your throne of grace to find help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
May this dear one feel Your presence and peace as they wait on You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that Your will be done in this situation, and we thank You for hearing our prayer. Amen.
