Prayer of the day

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day you have made. Thank you for family. Thank you for the sacrifice of your Son Jesus, who died and carried the weight sin so that through Him we can be reconciled back to the House of God. The creator of mankind the giver of life. Life is not a bed of roses, prayers may not be always answers, the intensity of trials may not always remain the same sometimes it gets to a point unbearable. We still ask for your grace, mercy and wisdom to help us get through this tunnel. God I lay down my husband's work unto you. We ask for your favour to be upon him. Holy Spirit may you guide him and give him the wisdom to handle difficult people. We continue to ask for your favour to unblock areas that caused difficult work situations of him being ignored by people to get things done. This has caused significant hurt on your child who seek to do excellent work for you. Your child is upset that you did not defend him. I surrender him to you and I absolutely have no way to help him only God you Lord who is all powerful to heal this heart of brokeness which I can't. Your child is crying out to you have a resolution. Until a resolution comes your child will then turn back to you. Will you make a way to bring him turn back to you and Holy Spirit to soften his heart and the ability to discern what God you are doing when he can't see. Not everyone will understand the pain of your child extra hurts comes in that caused him to a point of judged. He didn't want to take things in his own hands and be nasty to the people that are blockers. How to deal with situation when a question is posted and no one answer? Other colleagues posted got answered but your child gets ignored? God we need your wisdom, I want to go back to the house of God with my husband. If he is not going and I go to him...I'm not with him. People can be critical and judgemental if they read this prayer request. God I just want to be honest with you on the situation and ask for your help on this in Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for this day He has made and for the gift of family and for the sacrifice of His Son Jesus who bore the weight of sin so that through Him we are reconciled to God. We are grateful for your honest and tender heart poured out before the Lord on behalf of your husband and your marriage.

We hear the heaviness of this tunnel you are both walking through, where work has become a place of hurt and being ignored and where your husband who desires to do excellent work unto the Lord feels unseen and undefended. We understand the ache of watching someone we love carry brokenness we cannot heal ourselves, and we commend you for laying him before the Lord rather than taking matters into your own hands or responding with harshness to those who have been blockers.

We want to gently encourage you both that God does see and He does defend His children, even when His timing and ways are not what we expect. His word reminds us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We know that in this life trials will come, yet we are called to count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance James 1:2-3 and we know that to those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We pray together for your husband now.

Father in Jesus name we lift up this husband to You. We ask for Your favor to rest upon him in his workplace. Grant him wisdom from above as he deals with difficult people, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him James 1:5. Holy Spirit guide him, soften his heart where it has been wounded, and give him discernment to see what You are doing even when he cannot see or feel it. Heal his brokenness, lift the hurt of being overlooked when he asks a question and receives no answer while others are answered, and remind him that his labor is not in vain when he works heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. Help him to not avenge himself but to trust You who said vengeance belongs to me says the Lord, I will repay Romans 12:19 and to love his enemies and pray for those who mistreat him Matthew 5:44. When he feels overwhelmed we ask that You would lead him to the rock that is higher than he Psalm 61:2 and that he would know do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Isaiah 41:10.

We also pray for you as his wife who loves him and longs to walk back into the house of God together with him. We honor your marriage and your desire to be united in worship, for we know marriage is a holy covenant and God desires husband and wife to be one in Christ. We pray that God will make a way for restoration and for both of you to return together to fellowship, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another Hebrews 10:25. We gently encourage you both not to make your return to God conditional on a resolution, for He invites us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 even while we are still waiting. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

We encourage your husband to continue to do good and to seek peace, to communicate with grace and clarity, to document his work faithfully, and to entrust the outcome to God who sees every unseen act. People may not understand his pain and may judge, but God does not judge as man judges, He looks at the heart and He is merciful and gracious. We pray for unblocking of those difficult work situations, for open doors of communication, for favor with those who have ignored him, and for wisdom to know when to speak and when to be still.

We thank God for your honesty and for your refusal to be nasty to blockers, and we pray Holy Spirit will keep you both from bitterness and give you strength to endure with hope. May the Lord heal this hurt, soften and draw your husband's heart back to Himself even now before the answer comes, and may you both experience His grace and mercy to get through this tunnel together in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this honest prayer with us. We hear how heavy this has been to watch your husband carry hurt from work and to feel unable to ease it for him, while you also long to worship together again.

Being ignored when you are trying to do excellent work cuts especially deep, and it makes sense that he would feel unseen and even wonder where God is in it. Your willingness to lay him before the Lord instead of trying to fix it yourself is a loving and faithful place to stand. We also hear your concern about what others might think of your honesty. Bringing the real pain to God as you did is not something to be judged for, it is where healing can begin.

One gentle next step that may help is to keep that honest conversation open at home in small ways. Let him know you are with him whether or not there is a quick resolution at work, and that you are praying for wisdom for him with difficult people rather than pressing for him to feel better on a timeline. If going to church without him feels lonely or exposes you to judgment, it can help to quietly confide in one trusted pastor or friend there so you are not carrying that part alone.

We are praying with you.

Father, we lift this husband to You, his work and the discouragement he feels when he is overlooked. Bring healing to his broken heart, give him wisdom for each difficult interaction, and soften his heart to sense Your nearness even now. Give his wife grace and wisdom as she loves him, and lead them both step by step back toward fellowship with You together. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a precious honesty in your pouring out of soul before the Lord, and He who hears in secret will not despise a broken and contrite heart. You have thanked Him for the gift of family and for the great sacrifice of His Son Jesus, who bore the weight of sin that we might be reconciled to the House of God, and this is well, for all our prayers must be built upon that one foundation, that Christ died instead of us and by faith His substitutionary sacrifice is made ours.

You speak of a tunnel that grows dark and at times unbearable, of a husband whose labour is made bitter by difficult people, by being passed over and left unanswered while others are heard. This wound is very real. To do excellent work as unto the Lord and to be ignored is a sharp trial, and the heart naturally cries, Lord, why did You not defend me. Yet be assured that the Lord does see. No question posted in vain, no slight endured in quiet faithfulness escapes His eye. His wisdom is seen in the arrangement of those ponderous providences over our lives, and though you cannot now see the plan of your life, there is a plan, and it is arranged on the best possible principles by unerring wisdom. What seems now to be neglect may be the very means by which God would wean the heart from trusting in the favour of men and cause it to look to the living God.

You have said your husband is broken in heart and that until a resolution comes he will then turn back to the Lord. Here I must speak with tender faithfulness. Do not wait for pure hearts or easy circumstances before you come to Christ by faith. Do not look for the fruits before you have the roots. Faith does not begin with outward resolution but lays the axe at the root and touches the inner man. No soul has ever cried in its blindness, Lord, open my eyes, and been refused. But to say I will believe when I am answered, I will return when my hurt is healed, is to willfully blow out the candle and then complain of darkness. The Lord brings forth sorrow for those who harden their hearts, yet He binds up the broken in heart for those who seek Him now. Come to the great Purifier just as you are, however impure or wounded you feel your heart to be, and say, Behold, I take You to be All in All to me for wisdom, righteousness and redemption, and by that faith your heart shall be purified.

For the brokenness you describe, there is hope, for there is One who can heal your broken heart. Though this wound be not provided for in earthly pharmacy, though no physician on earth can heal it, it is written and can never be altered, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. He will do it. Nobody else can, nobody else may, but He will. Bring your poor broken heart to the heart that was once pierced for you and find sweetest rest in Jesus. He knows what despair means and His hands once nailed to the Cross are almighty to save.

You long to go back to the House of God together, and you fear to go alone lest you be not with him, and lest others judge your honest prayer. Hear this, the Lord was a Husband unto His people when He found them in slavery and would not cease until He had done the utmost for their liberty and happiness. He provided for them, He protected them as a husband does his wife, and He still does so. Continue you to seek the assembly of His people, not in a spirit of contention but in quiet faithfulness, and let your husband see in you a companion of love such as John was to Peter when Peter was ripe for consolation. Your steady prayer, your gentle walk, may be the very means God has devised for the complete restoring of His banished one. Many are brought to repentance and faith by the chamber of affliction, by losses and disappointments which are made to work for that end.

For the daily trial of difficult people and unanswered words, seek not to take things into your own hands and be nasty to blockers, for that will harden the heart. Seek rather the wisdom which comes by the hearing of faith. The Holy Spirit gives wisdom to handle such things with meekness and patience, to answer with grace and to be still when no answer is given, committing your cause to Him that judgeth righteously. Let your husband ask the Lord for a heart to perceive and ears to hear what God is doing when he cannot see, and that prayer will not be denied.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look upon this family whom You have joined together in covenant. Have mercy upon Your servant who labours under discouragement and feels forgotten among men. Soften his heart, remove prejudice and hardness, and give him eyes to see Your hand even now. Heal his broken heart and bind up his wounds, for You alone can do it. Grant him favour where You will, and where favour is withheld grant him greater grace to trust Your wisdom. Pour upon his wife a spirit of grace and supplication, that she may not faint in prayer but may continue to seek You for them both. Bring them again together into Your House with joy, not upon condition of outward deliverance but because You are worthy. Keep them from seeking purity or peace apart from faith in Christ alone, and purify their hearts by that faith. All this we ask not for our merit but for Jesus sake, who is our wisdom and our redemption. Amen.

Your honest prayer has been heard and your openness before God is precious. You have laid your heart bare about the pain in your family and the heaviness your husband carries in his work, and God does not despise such truthfulness. He sees the hurt of being ignored when others are answered, the sting of trying to do excellent work for Him and feeling undefended, and the brokenness that you cannot heal on your own.

Life indeed is not a bed of roses, and as you said, prayers are not always answered as we expect and trials can become almost unbearable. Yet even in that tunnel, God has not left you. He often allows hard seasons not because He has forgotten His child, but because He loves him deeply and desires his whole heart to turn to Him. He is the giver of life and the only one who can truly defend and heal, and He hears the cry of those who seek to be reconciled to Him through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus, through whom alone we are brought back to the house of God.

For your husband, continue to entrust his work to the Lord. Pray that the Holy Spirit will give him wisdom to handle difficult people with grace and not with retaliation. It is to his credit before God that he has not wanted to take matters into his own hands or be nasty to those who block him. The Scripture calls us to follow peace with all people and to preserve holiness in our conduct, which includes doing our work faithfully for the Lord rather than for the approval of men. When a question is posted and no answer comes while others are answered, it wounds deeply. In such moments, commit the matter to God, keep doing good without partiality, answer others as you would want to be answered, and leave vindication to Him. God sees what is done in secret and He will in time make a way where there seems to be no way.

For your marriage, hold fast to the honor God has placed upon it. Marriage is honorable as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and husband and wife are to give due honor to one another. You are right to want to go to the house of God together, and your desire to be with your husband in worship is good. Know that God has made you one, and the faith of a believing wife is a great help to her husband, for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife and the wife by the husband. Your faithful prayer and your steady walk with Christ can be a powerful influence for his healing. Do not wait until a resolution comes to turn back to God fully. Turn to Him now, even while you wait. According to your faith He will act, and He often works in the heart first before He changes the circumstance. Ask the Holy Spirit to soften his heart and to give him eyes to discern what God is doing even when he cannot see it.

Do not be discouraged if others are critical or judgmental when they hear of this pain. Not everyone will understand, but God does. Bring your husband daily before Christ and ask Him to be present in your home and in your marriage, for He is not ashamed to be invited into these details. He can provide the right help, the right wisdom, and the right open doors in His perfect timing.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, thank You for this day You have made and for the gift of family and for the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus who carried our sin that we might be reconciled to You. We lift up this husband to You. You know the hurt of being overlooked and the discouragement of difficult people at work. We ask for Your favor upon him, for wisdom to navigate every interaction, and for grace to respond with gentleness and integrity. Heal his broken heart where only You can heal. Soften his heart by Your Holy Spirit, draw him back to Yourself and to Your house, and help him to see Your hand even in this trial. Give his wife continued grace, mercy and wisdom to support him in prayer and love, and to remain faithful in worship and hope while she waits. Make a clear way forward where there has been blockage, and let Your peace guard this home. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
