reflection
Along the streets, along the heavy traffic at Edsa, anywhere in Manila, I did reflect on street children, everytime they knock on my window, I happily open it and they are happy to receive a little amount coming from me.
I’m like them this time, street children begging. A poor priest begging not for myself but for others, for the parish, for the church, For God.
The poor priest begging, roaming around manila, mostly roaming on the streets
Heavy traffic, if there’s no collection, being patient how my stomach feels
No place to call home, Nothing of my own
I go out from one appointment to another, begging
During siesta hour (1pm to 2pm)
I fall sleep while driving
I intentionally stop along the sidewalk and pavement, to make a short nap
And proceed again.
Sun and Rain, I mind not
I rejoice whatever weather comes
As long there’s a appoinment waiting
Unmindful of the hardships, I smile and grow spiritually
I never lose hope
I pray for them
That God may touch them,
That god may lift the handphone, to call me
Or text me…
Yes, it always happen
It is always a miracle
It’s true, god will provide
And yet, He let me experience that hardship of long time waiting, as if nothing will come.
He taught me to be patient
I smile and rejoice “in God’s time”
Like street children, they are happy and grateful as you hand them a peso.
In my case, I’m happy to receive P500.00
Sabi ko, pambayad ko na ito sa toll gate.
Pag P1,000.00, Salamat sa Diyos, may pang fuel na ako
Malayo at marami na akong mararating.
Salamat sa Diyos
