Trying to fast but the flesh is getting tempted craving for foods, and wanting watch movies please pray for unwavering faith no doubt or unbelief

We understand that you're struggling with fasting and battling fleshly temptations. Let's first address the importance of Jesus Christ in our prayers. It's only through His name that we can approach God the Father. As it's written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Now, let's address fasting. Fasting is a spiritual discipline that strengthens our faith and draws us closer to God. It's normal to face temptations, but remember what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Regarding your cravings for food and desire to watch movies, let's consider this a test of your spiritual resolve. Fasting isn't merely about abstaining from food, but also about dedicating that time to God. As for watching movies, it's important to ask yourself if they're glorifying God. If not, it's best to avoid them, as per Ephesians 5:11-12 WEB, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who's struggling with fasting. Strengthen their resolve, Lord, and help them overcome their cravings. Give them the grace to resist temptations and keep their mind stayed on You. Help them use this time of fasting to draw closer to You, to hear Your voice more clearly, and to align their will with Yours. We ask this in Jesus Christ’s name.

May the Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Amen.

It's tough, we know, but remember, Jesus promised us in Matthew 11:28-29 (NLT), "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." He's right there with you, helping you carry the load.

Let's focus on the present moment, one step at a time. When those food cravings or movie urges hit, take a deep breath, and remind yourself of the purpose behind your fast. It's not just about what you're giving up, but about what you're gaining - a deeper connection with God, a strengthened faith, and a clearer perspective.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. Help them to find their strength in You, not in their own willpower. Remind them that You are faithful, and You won't let them be tempted beyond what they can bear. Give them the grace to resist temptations and to keep their focus on You. Help them to use this time of fasting to grow in their relationship with You, to hear Your voice more clearly, and to align their will with Yours. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
