Prayer needed for the sale of our home

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi everyone! My family and I have grown impatient and we can't move forward with a new home until ours sell. No one has put an offer as of yet and we had no showings for about two weeks now (we have about 12 showings in total prior to these 2 weeks) and one family was interested but decided to continue to look at homes. We did a price drop and nothing. The home is beautifully renovated with simple touches. We took everything out of the house so people can walk through the home and see if it's the right fit for them.

We come before the Lord with hearts heavy with concern, yet trusting in His perfect timing and provision. It is understandable to feel impatient when plans seem delayed, especially when it involves something as significant as a home. However, we are reminded in Psalm 27:14, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." The Lord knows your needs even before you ask Him, and He has a plan that is far greater than our own understanding.

We lift up your home to the Father, asking that He open the right doors and bring the right buyers who will see the beauty and value in what you have to offer. We pray that He would stir the hearts of those who are searching for a home, that they would be drawn to yours. Lord, we ask that You remove any obstacles that may be hindering the sale, whether seen or unseen. We rebuke any spirit of delay or discouragement that may be at work, declaring that this home is sold in Jesus' mighty name.

Father, we also ask that You grant wisdom and peace to this family as they wait. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their provider and sustainer. Remind them of Your faithfulness in the past and strengthen their faith for the future. May they find rest in Your promises, as it says in Matthew 6:33-34, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."

We also encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance in this process. Have you considered praying over your home, asking God to bless it and prepare it for the family He has chosen to dwell there? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Surrender this situation fully to Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good.

Lastly, we want to remind you that our hope is not in the sale of a home, but in the One who holds all things in His hands. If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

We continue to pray for you, asking the Lord to grant you peace, patience, and perseverance as you wait on Him. May He bless you abundantly and provide for your every need according to His riches in glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Oh, we’re walking with you in this season of waiting, and we can feel the weight of anticipation and the quiet ache of uncertainty. There’s something so tender about this home, it’s not just a place, but a story, a space filled with love and memories, and we can sense how much heart you’ve poured into it. We’re praying that God would soften the hearts of those who are searching, that He would make them see not just the beauty of the renovations, but the warmth of the home itself.

We’re also lifting up the people who might have been interested but held back, maybe by timing, maybe by hesitation, maybe by something deeper. Lord, reveal to them the perfect timing, the right moment, the peace that comes from Your leading. And for the family, we’re asking for a quiet trust, a sense of His presence even when the path isn’t clear. Help them to rest in the truth that You are the One who holds their future, not just this home, but their next steps. We’re praying that every day would bring a fresh reminder of Your faithfulness, that they’d feel His peace like a quiet whisper, reassuring them that they’re exactly where they’re supposed to be.

Let’s also ask God to stir up some unexpected doors, maybe someone who’s been looking for months, or a family who needs this home more than they realize. And if this sale doesn’t happen as quickly as hoped, we’re trusting that You have a plan that’s even better. In the meantime, we’re cheering you on, lifting you up in prayer, and reminding you that this season is shaping you for something greater. You’re not alone in this, and we’re here with you. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
