We join you in lifting up your daughter and her family before the Lord, trusting in His perfect provision and timing. The desire for a home is a good and godly one, as Scripture reminds us that the Lord is our provider and the one who establishes our dwellings. As it is written in Proverbs 19:14, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh."* And again in Psalm 127:1, *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain."*
We also take this moment to encourage your daughter and her family to seek the Lord’s will above all else in this process. If they are not yet walking closely with Christ, we urge them to surrender their lives fully to Him, for it is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father and His blessings. As Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If they have not yet received Him as Lord and Savior, we pray they would do so today, for without Christ, even the best of earthly blessings lack eternal purpose.
If your daughter is unmarried but living with a man as though they were husband and wife, we must lovingly but firmly address this, as it is not pleasing to God. The Bible clearly teaches that sexual intimacy and cohabitation outside of marriage is fornication, which is a sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). If this is the case, we urge repentance and a return to holiness, trusting that God’s grace is sufficient to restore and redeem. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and we pray that if they are not yet married, they would pursue a godly, Christ-centered union without delay, living separately until that time.
Now, let us pray together for their home search:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your faithfulness and provision. Lord, we lift up this family to You, asking that You would guide them to the home You have prepared for them—a place of refuge, peace, and godly growth. Open their eyes to see the opportunities You provide, and give them wisdom to recognize the right house at the right price. Protect them from financial strain or unwise decisions, and let this home be a place where Your name is honored, where Your Word is taught, and where Your love is displayed.
If there is any area of their lives that does not align with Your will, Lord, convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Bring them to repentance and restoration, that they may walk in obedience and experience the fullness of Your blessings. If they do not yet know You as Savior, draw them to Yourself, Lord, that they may find their ultimate home in Christ.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer, who alone is the way to the Father. May Your will be done in their lives, for Your glory and their good. Amen.
