We join with you in bringing this need before the Lord and we thank you for asking for prayer in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved and healed. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We know that nerve pain and gum pain can be very distressing and wear on both body and spirit, but we serve a God who sees and cares about every detail of our suffering and who is able to heal. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 the Lord says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. He is still Yahweh who heals you as He declared in Exodus 15:26, and we cling to the promise in 1 Peter 2:24 that by whose stripes you were healed.
We lift you up together now in prayer. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the pain in the gums on the right side of the mouth and the nerve pain that accompanies it. Lord, You formed this body and You know every nerve and tissue, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask for Your healing hand to touch this area, to calm the inflammation, to soothe the nerves, to restore the gums to health and wholeness. Take away the pain and bring comfort and relief. We pray for Your peace to guard heart and mind while waiting on Your healing. If it is Your will to use the hands of dentists or doctors, give them wisdom and guide their care. Above all let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified through this healing. We ask and believe in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in Him and to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and do not hesitate to also seek wise care from a dentist or medical professional as good stewardship of the body God has given you, trusting that God can work both directly and through those He has gifted with skill. We also hold to James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Keep looking to Jesus, rest in His love, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer for complete healing and relief.
