Disciple of Prayer
Prayer Request Praise the Lord! Heavenly Father, We come before You in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, trusting in Your mercy, grace, and unfailing love. Lord, we lift up ###'s sister and her mother into Your loving hands. Her mother is in a very serious condition after suffering a stroke. Father, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is impossible for You. Please stretch out Your healing hand and bring comfort, strength, and restoration according to Your perfect will. Lord, be with ###'s sister as she travels to India to see her mother. Even though she is facing financial difficulties, we pray that You will provide for every need, give her safe travel, surround her with Your peace, and strengthen her heart during this difficult time. Let her experience Your presence every step of the way. We also pray for ###. Lord Jesus, please touch her leg with Your healing power. Remove every pain, strengthen her body, and grant her a complete recovery. We pray that she will soon be able to return to work in good health and with renewed confidence. Let Your healing power be evident in her life. Father, we also place before You the relationships that have caused hurt. Lord, You know our hearts and You know every situation. We pray for the families of ### and ###. We leave them in Your hands. We ask that You guide them with Your wisdom, help them remember the value of true friendship, trust, gratitude, loyalty, and kindness. If they have forgotten these things, please work in their hearts with Your love and truth. Help all of us to forgive, to act with integrity, and to walk in Your ways. Lord, guard our hearts from bitterness and revenge. Instead, fill us with Your peace, wisdom, patience, and love. Help us to trust You to bring justice and to guide every situation according to Your perfect will. Father, we also pray for my own life and work. Thank You for the job You have given me. Please protect my employment, bless the work of my hands, and help me to grow in my career. Give me wisdom, knowledge, confidence, and favour with my managers and colleagues. Let my work shine brightly for Your glory, and help me become a blessing to others. Give me strength to overcome every challenge and every obstacle that comes my way. Lord Jesus, strengthen my faith each day. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, courage, peace, and hope. Help me to trust You in every circumstance, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. We surrender every burden into Your hands, believing that You hear our prayers and that Your timing is always perfect. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in lifting up these heavy burdens before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician hears and answers according to His perfect will. Heavenly Father, we stand in agreement with this prayer, trusting in Your unfailing love and sovereign power over every situation.

For ’s mother, we cry out to You, Lord, as the One who formed her in her mother’s womb and knows every cell of her body. You declare in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We ask for complete restoration, may her speech return, her strength be renewed, and her mind be clear. Comfort her in these moments of weakness, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted. For ’s sister traveling to ###, we pray for supernatural provision, every need met according to Your riches in glory. Open doors no man can shut, grant her favor with authorities, and surround her with Your angels for safe passage. May she feel Your presence like a warm embrace in the midst of this storm.

For ’s leg, we rebuke pain and inflammation in Jesus’ name. Your Word says in Psalm 103:3, "Who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We declare healing over every nerve, muscle, and bone, may she walk without pain and return to work with renewed strength. Father, we also lift up the strained relationships mentioned. Bitterness and unforgiveness are like poison to the soul, but You call us to forgive as we have been forgiven. We pray for softened hearts, may pride be broken, offenses released, and unity restored where possible. Remind them all of Colossians 3:13, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

For the one who submitted this request, we thank You for their job and ask for divine promotion. May their work reflect Your excellence, and may they be a light in their workplace. We pray against fear or anxiety about the future, Your Word says in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Strengthen their faith daily, Lord, and help them to cast every care upon You, knowing You care deeply for them.

We also want to gently remind all reading this that true peace and healing come only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If anyone has not surrendered their life to Christ, we encourage them to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose again, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. This is the foundation for all true healing and hope.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are working even when we cannot see it. We trust You with these requests, knowing that Your plans are for good and not for harm. May Your name be glorified in every situation. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

We are holding you and your loved ones close in prayer today. The weight of all you are carrying, your ###’s stroke, your ###’s anxious journey to India, your own body needing strength, and the ache of strained relationships, is heavy, and we are honored to stand with you before the Lord.

Your request threads together so much trust, and we want to steady that trust with a gentle reminder: God does not ask us to shoulder these burdens alone. So often He pours out His comfort and provision through the ordinary people He places around us, a listening friend, a church member who shows up, a small group that prays without giving up. We would gently encourage you to let a few trusted people in your own life know the specifics you’ve shared here, so they can pray and walk with you through these days. That is not weakness; it is the body of Christ working the way He designed.

We lift to our Father now the stroke-stricken ###, asking for His sustaining mercy, wisdom for her medical team, and tangible peace for your ### as she travels despite financial strain. We ask for provision for every need along the way and a deep sense of His presence. For your leg and your job, we pray for restored health and for favor that lets your work shine. And for the relational hurts you named, we ask for the quiet healing only the Spirit can bring, softening hearts, renewing friendships, and guarding you from bitterness.

Lord Jesus, in Your name we entrust every name and every need to You. Please stretch out Your hand of healing, make a way where there seems to be none, and anchor our hope in Your unfailing love. Amen.

It is no small thing to cast your care upon the Lord, and the very act of prayer betrays a heart that looks above the sorrows of this fleeting life. Yet I would have you remember Job, who in all his losses and pains “sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” When the mother is low and the stroke has laid its heavy hand upon her, it is not for us to murmur at the appointment of the Almighty. He has a right to do as He wills with His own, and whether He raises her up from the bed of languishing or calls her to the house appointed for all living, it is well. Job knew this when he said, “I know that You will bring me to death,” and that knowledge did not drive him to despair but to a deeper trust. Strive, then, to bow before the Father’s will with a child’s submission, and do not let the affliction stir a single charge against the Most High. Let the sister’s journey be covered with peace, and the needed provision come, for the cattle on a thousand hills are His; yet even if the purse be scant, the soul may be rich in faith.

Touch also upon that prayer for the leg and for the daily work. You have asked for healing and for favour among men. “Should it be according to your mind?” asks Elihu. The Lord may grant anointing with fresh oil, causing your bow to be renewed in your hand, as in the days of Job’s prosperity. But if He delay the cure, or if the limb must bear its thorn, let it drive you nearer to the Rock of Ages. Many a soul has found that it never stood so firm as when it had lost a leg to lean upon. Regarding the employment, the Lord who turns the captivity of His people can also establish the work of your hands; but take care not to let the blessing of a job outshine the Blesser. It is a mercy to be kept from the idleness that eats the heart out of a man, but a greater mercy still to glorify God in the shop or the counting-house.

I am full of hope when I see that you have spread the relational wounds before the mercy seat, yet I would press you further: pray for those who have caused the hurt, even as Job interceded for his offending friends. It was “when he prayed for his friends” that the Lord turned his captivity. The bitter root of resentment must be dug up, not merely covered over. Pity them, weep for them in your inner chamber, and ask the Lord to grant them repentance and a return to loyalty and kindness. To harbour vengeance is to open the door to Satan, but to bless those who despitefully use you is to heap coals of fire upon their heads in the gospel sense. The Lord will clear the slandered name in due time; be you only concerned with walking in integrity and keeping a conscience void of offence.

Stand, then, as Job stood, and lift your worship even when the mantle is torn and the head is shaved. The night may be long, but the morning cometh. The trial has its bottom, and the captivity has its turning. Cling to Christ, for He is the substance of every shadow in the Book of Job, the living Redeemer who ever liveth to make intercession. I pray that you find grace to hold fast your confidence and to bless a taking as well as a giving God, so that in every change the name of the Lord may be praised.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is full of words, and it is good to approach God with boldness. Yet I fear that you seek chiefly the removal of suffering rather than the sanctification of your soul. You ask for healing for the mother and for your own leg, for provision, for restored friendships, for success in work. These are not wrong to ask, but hear the warning: diseases often proceed from sin and from loose living. Do you examine your own life, and that of the mother, to see if any root of sin remains? I do not say every sickness is direct punishment, for Job was stricken to be made approved; but the one rule is to bear every stroke thankfully. When the thief takes your goods, if you give thanks as Job did, you turn loss into gain. So now, this stroke upon the mother and the pain in your leg, give thanks. Say, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.” By this you will heap coals of fire on the devil’s head, for his dart will miss its mark and strike himself.

Concerning your sister’s journey, you do well to honor your mother, for the Lord commands it. Yet do not trust that the act alone pleases God; let her go with a heart cleansed of bitterness and full of gratitude. And as for the financial difficulty, trust that God who feeds the birds will supply her need, but also remember that earthly provision is a small thing; the true pasture is Christ, where none shall thrust you out. Seek first that security.

You speak of relationships that have caused hurt. Here is a snare of the evil one. You pray that the families remember friendship, trust, gratitude, loyalty, kindness. But know this: “I am come to set a man at variance against his father,” says the Lord. If you follow Christ, expect division even among those dearest. Yet this does not excuse you from acting with integrity and forgiving from the heart. Guard yourself from bitterness and revenge, or you will pierce your own soul. The command is to rebuke with conviction, but then to exhort with tenderness, as a physician both cuts and applies a balm. If they have sinned against you, reprove them if you can, but in season and out of season, not with anger but with love. And if they refuse, leave them in God’s hands, for “a brother redeemeth not; shall a man redeem?” No relative, no friend, can rescue your soul from the judgment seat; you must answer for your own works. So be more zealous for your own righteousness than for their approval.

As for your employment, it is a gift; give thanks and work as unto the Lord. Pray for wisdom, but also walk in such a way that your light shines before men. Yet do not set your hope on the favor of managers; the favor of God is enough. If you lose your job, can you say with Job, “The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away”? That is the test.

In all these things, do not grow weary. Many hear the word ten times and seem insensible, yet at the eleventh hearing they bear fruit. Your prayer now may be the tenth stroke upon the tree of your soul; soon the eleventh will bring it down in repentance. I entreat you, do not seek only relief from temporal pains, but the eternal healing of your soul. Let each trial drive you to cling to Christ, the only door. For those who do not, there remain chambers of torture which no man can rescue them from. Therefore, watch and pray, and I, with you, will beseech the Lord to grant not what you wish, but what is profitable for your salvation. Amen.

When suffering piles up, a mother struck down by a stroke, a sister traveling far with empty pockets, your own body aching and work uncertain, even old wounds from people you once trusted, it’s easy to feel like everything has caved in and the questions start closing in. Why this? Why now? What did I do to deserve it? Those are ancient cries, the same ones Job poured out when he sat in the ashes, scraping his sores. And we need to be careful: his friends meant well, but they kept insisting his pain was payback for some secret sin. That’s a cruel lie that can bury someone deeper in despair. The truth is, suffering isn’t always a bill you’ve racked up. Job never knew what was happening behind the veil, that God was not punishing him, but trusting him to remain faithful even when all the evidence seemed to say God had abandoned him. So when your mom’s health and your sister’s journey and your own leg and job and those tangled relationships all scream for answers, hold onto this: you are not being singled out for punishment. God’s silence is not His absence.

You’ve prayed for healing, provision, safety, favor at work, and for hearts to remember loyalty and kindness. That’s real. That’s the cry of a person who knows that only God can mend what is broken. Job wanted the same thing, a mediator, someone who could lay a hand on both God and man and make things right. He didn’t have a name for that, but we know His name: Jesus. He stepped into the chasm, and He stands there now, with His hand on the throne and His hand on your aching frame. So when you ask for healing, you’re asking the One who heals bodies and binds up hearts. When you ask for provision, you’re turning to the God who sees the sparrow fall and knows what you need before you ask. And when you lift up the relationships that have caused hurt, the families you mentioned, you are handing them to the only Judge who holds both perfect justice and perfect mercy. He knows every hidden motive, every forgotten kindness, every wounding word. You don’t need to carry the weight of getting even. He will make things right in His time. Your part is to let bitterness fall away and keep walking in integrity, even when others don’t.

That’s wisdom right there, the kind Job circled until God finally spoke. The fear of the Lord, revering Him above all else, that is wisdom. And to turn away from evil, that is understanding. It’s not a slick formula that guarantees smooth sailing. It’s the anchor that holds when the waves don’t stop. Your work life, your health, the trip your sister is making, these are all held inside that same anchor. You’ve asked for wisdom, for favor with managers and colleagues. That’s a good request, because true wisdom is learning to trust God’s hand when you can’t trace it. It means doing your work as unto Him, not just for a paycheck, and letting your light shine quietly. It means resting in the fact that He knows the path ahead, even when finances seem thin and danger feels near.

There is something else Job’s story gives us: the comfort that God was working out a far bigger purpose than Job could see. He was not abandoned. And neither are you. Your mother, your sister, your body, your job, those broken relationships, none of them are beyond His reach. He hears your prayer. He collects every tear. And He can cause even this to work together for good in ways you may only glimpse later. Right now, just lift your head. You don’t have to have all the answers. Cry out to Him honestly. Let go of the need to understand everything. And trust the One who is both just and merciful, who formed you in the womb and has never lost track of you. May He bring healing to that leg, provide for every need, guard your sister on her journey, touch your mother’s body, and steady your heart with a peace that makes no earthly sense. Keep your eyes on Jesus, your true mediator, and walk forward one day at a time. He is with you.
