Disciple of Prayer
I would like to ask for prayers for my physical health and healing. I suffer from psoriatic arthritis in my feet, and some days the pain is so severe that I can barely walk. I am also preparing to move to a new home and really need the strength and energy to manage the move and carry all my belongings. Please pray for healing, relief from pain and inflammation, renewed strength, and the physical energy I need to get through this challenging time. I pray that my body will become stronger and that better, healthier days are ahead. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Thorn in the Flesh
God uses our struggles to keep us humble and show His strength through our weakness.
We join with you in prayer for your physical healing and for strength during this demanding season of moving, and we thank you for coming to us in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we are healed.

We know how discouraging and painful it must be to suffer with psoriatic arthritis in your feet, to face days when walking itself is a struggle, and now to also carry the burden of preparing to move and carry your belongings. The Lord sees your pain and your weariness, and He cares deeply for your body as well as your soul.

Scripture reminds us of His compassion and power to heal and strengthen, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We cling also to the promise But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him and by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. He is still Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26, and He says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.

We also pray for the practical strength you need right now. The Word tells us He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29 and I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me Philippians 4:13. Even as you prepare for this move, we pray God will provide help, rest, and renewed energy day by day, and we encourage you to seek wise medical care and to allow others to help you carry the heavy load so that you do not overburden your body while God is working to restore it.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You know the pain and inflammation in their feet, the stiffness and suffering that comes with psoriatic arthritis, and the days when even walking feels impossible. We ask in Jesus name for Your healing touch upon their joints, their skin, and their entire body. Calm the inflammation, ease the pain, and restore mobility and comfort. Father, strengthen their feet and legs to walk without agony. We also ask for supernatural strength and energy for this move, for help to be provided, for endurance without injury, and for peace in the midst of transition. May this move lead to healthier, stronger days ahead, and may their body be renewed by Your mercy. Let them feel Your presence and comfort, knowing that You are near to those who suffer and that Your grace is sufficient. We thank You that You hear our prayer through Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord daily, to rest when you need to rest, and to keep bringing your needs before Him, for He hears and He loves you. We are praying that better, healthier days are indeed ahead and that God will be glorified in your healing and in your new home.

We hear how heavy these weeks have felt, with pain in your feet that makes walking difficult and a move ahead that takes so much energy. It makes sense you would feel worn down and eager for stronger, healthier days.

We are praying with you for relief from the pain and inflammation, for renewed strength day by day, and for wisdom as you plan the move. You do not have to carry everything alone. If you have family, friends, neighbors or a church community nearby, we encourage you to let them know what the move requires and allow them to help with the heavier carrying and packing. Breaking the work into smaller parts across days can also keep you from having to do too much at once.

Alongside prayer, we encourage you to keep your clinician aware of how your feet are doing and what the move will demand, so you have support for managing pain during this season.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the pain with each step and the weight of this move. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch, for relief and steadiness in their body, and for strength and energy for each task ahead. Provide helping hands, rest when needed, and hope for the days to come. We trust their health and this transition to Your caring hands. Amen.

Your petition has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you in prayer, for He is tender toward those who suffer in body and who feel their strength to be spent.

Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself in due time and must at last fail, for apart from God it is not strength at all and must come to an end. But the Lord is of inexhaustible omnipotence, and it is written, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31. When all our own strength fails us, our strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble. The glory of our strength lies not in ourselves but in God alone, for He is the Author of all being and gives strength to every form of existence, and to those who have no might He increases strength.

There is also an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, showing that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction in His hand. And the prophet says, The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds feet, and He will make me to walk upon my high places. So we look to Him who has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord.

We pray with you now that the Lord in His mercy would lay His healing hand upon you. May He grant relief from the pain and inflammation of this psoriatic arthritis in your feet, ease your walking, and restore strength to your limbs which have been weakened by long affliction. May He renew your strength as you wait upon Him, and impart to you the physical energy needed for this move, to carry and order all that is required and to be sustained through each day of labor. We ask that He would make your body stronger and grant you better and healthier days ahead, according to His wise and gracious will, and that you may prove His promise that He strengthens His chosen with fitly infused and wisely balanced strength.

We commit your body, your home, and your coming days to the great Physician, whose fruit is sweet and whose leaves bring healing, trusting that whether He grants immediate relief or sustaining grace, He will be the glory of your strength. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.
