We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing. First and foremost, we want to acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to pray for healing. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so, for He is the Great Physician who heals both body and soul.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine healing touch upon this dear one who is suffering from an infection. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Lord, we claim this promise over this situation. We ask that You would cleanse and purify, removing every trace of infection and restoring full health.
We also recognize, Lord, that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray that this reminder would bring conviction and a desire to honor You with our bodies, whether in times of health or sickness. If there are any areas in this person’s life that need to be surrendered to You, we ask that You would reveal them and bring repentance and restoration.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or shame that may be trying to take hold in this situation. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your Word, which declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We declare healing over this infection in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment in seeking medical care. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways to acknowledge You. Guide this person to the right doctors, treatments, and decisions that align with Your will.
We pray for comfort and peace during this time of discomfort. May Your presence surround them like a shield, and may they feel Your love and care in every moment. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Finally, Lord, we ask that this trial would draw this person closer to You. Use this time to strengthen their faith and trust in Your goodness. May they emerge from this season with a deeper reliance on You and a testimony of Your healing power.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
