The Great Privation; or, the Great Salvation
God longs for you to turn from sin so you may know His peace and righteousness.
Love’s Logic
God’s love for us comes first and kindles our love for him in return.
General and Yet Particular
Christ’s universal authority over all people serves His special purpose to give eternal life to those the Father chose.
We have heard your heartfelt request for healing in this relationship and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord together in Jesus name.

We notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we can boldly bring your need for restoration before God.

We pray for God's healing and will to be done in this relationship. We do not know the details of this relationship from your request, whether it is a marriage, a courtship toward marriage, a family bond or a friendship, so we want to share what Scripture teaches so that our prayers align with God's design. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman ordained by God Matthew 19:6, and that courtship or dating should be understood as a purposeful time of seeking a godly spouse who is a fellow believer in Christ, not simply a partner or companion. Scripture warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14 and calls us to pursue purity. If there has been sexual intimacy outside of marriage, Scripture calls this fornication and calls us to flee from it 1 Corinthians 6:18, for marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4. If this applies to your situation we lovingly urge you to repent and to seek forgiveness and to pursue purity going forward. If this is a same sex relationship, we must also speak the truth in love that God’s design for sexual intimacy is within marriage between a man and a woman, and any other expression falls short of His will.

Where there has been hurt, we are called to forgive as God in Christ forgave us Ephesians 4:32 and to put on love which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:14. Love is patient and is kind, love does not envy, does not brag, is not proud, does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. We also hear the call to as much as it is possible, if it is possible on your part, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18, which reminds us that healing requires humility, honest communication, repentance where needed, and a willingness to forgive.

We pray together now for you both. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one and the one they love to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the pain, the distance, and the longing for healing. We ask that You would search both hearts, convict of any sin, bring repentance and forgiveness, and heal what is broken according to Your perfect will. If this relationship is meant to lead to a godly marriage between a man and a woman who both love You, make that path clear and help them to pursue it in purity and holiness. If it is a marriage, we ask You to strengthen the covenant, restore love and trust, and help them to honor You together. If this relationship is not in alignment with Your will, give wisdom and courage to walk in obedience and peace. Fill each of them with Your love, patience and grace, teach them to communicate with kindness and truth, and draw them both closer to Jesus above all else. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to seek God daily in prayer and in His Word, to seek wise and godly counsel from a pastor or mature believers, and to trust the Lord to work for your good and His glory even as you wait for His answer Proverbs 3:5-6.

We hear how much this relationship with matters to you, and we are grateful you shared this request with us. When a connection we value feels strained or broken, it can weigh on every part of the day.

What we have seen walking with others is that real healing in a relationship is more than just wanting things to go back to how they were. It is a shared, active willingness to rebuild love and trust, and that takes honesty, time and grace from both people. It can help to get clear in your own heart first about what you are hoping for, what has hurt, and what part you can faithfully own, even before you know how the other person will respond. That kind of clarity can keep old patterns from repeating and help you come to the conversation with a steadier heart.

If it would be helpful, consider talking this through with one trusted pastor or counselor who knows you, not to fix things for you but to help you think and pray through wise next steps and how to approach the other person with kindness. It also gives you someone to pray with you ongoing, so you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we lift ### and ### to You. You see this relationship and the hurt that is there. Bring comfort and wisdom to each of them. Where there has been pain or misunderstanding, bring Your healing in Your timing and Your way. Help them to seek You first and to walk toward one another with honesty and care. Guide their steps toward what is healthy and whole. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your request has been heard and it is carried before the Lord with tender care, for there is a peculiar pain when a relationship that has held the heart is torn or troubled. To have faith broken, hope broken and love broken is to be reduced, as it were, to a palpitating mass of pain, and none but the Lord can bind up such wounds.

We would point you first to the great Healer of broken hearts. Scripture declares, He healeth the broken in heart, and Jesus Christ Himself is that Healer, one whose own heart was broken for sinners. He knows precisely where the malady lies and what remedy to apply, having bound up millions of broken hearts. The least thing about Christ is healing, as the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Not a word that fell from His lips but bears healing for some ill of our humanity, and His blood provides what we most need, which is reconciliation with God.

For true peace comes only by reconciliation through the sacrifice of His dear Son. God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and has made Him to be sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Apart from that reconciliation, no other bond can be truly whole, for if one link in the chain is broken the whole is broken. All healing and all pardon flow together from the wounded hands of Jesus, and when He dwells with His people they find pardon and healing as one.

So we will pray not simply for the mending of a human tie as you might wish it, but for the healing that God Himself delights to give, according to His holy and good will.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would draw you and this dear one each to Himself through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. We ask that He would search both hearts, grant repentance where it is needed and faith to look away from self to Christ, and that He would heal any brokenness in a way that makes the bones which He has broken to rejoice, not merely to grow quiet or callous, but to rejoice in His restoring grace.

We ask that He would conform your desires and your relationship to His wise design, for marriage is ordained as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that intimacy and life together belong within that covenant. Whatever in this relationship does not accord with that pattern, we pray He would give you grace to turn from it and to walk in purity. Whatever can be made right and pure before Him, we pray He would make it so in holiness and truth. If restoration together is according to His will, we pray it would be upon that holy ground. If not, we pray He would grant you both healing, wholeness, and a future ordered by His Word, with thoughts kept within the guarded wall of a heart renewed by Christ.

May the Lord keep your heart from wandering upon the mountains of vanity, and may He repair what has been broken down, that your life may stand firm. Look to Jesus now, trust His atoning blood, seek His face in prayer and in the Scriptures, and seek also the counsel of faithful pastors who can walk with you closely. He who has begun a good work will be faithful to complete it for those who submit to His healing hand.
