We join you in lifting up your loved one who is battling tongue cancer and facing financial hardship, and we bring this burden before the Lord together in Jesus name.
Our hearts are moved with compassion for this suffering, and we know that our God sees and cares deeply. He is the Lord who heals us and who provides for His children. We cling to His promises that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases in Psalm 103:3, and that He declares But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17. When fear and uncertainty rise, we remember His word in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. For the financial need, we trust the promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We gently notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. To be saved and to draw near to God, we must believe that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again, and call upon His name. We encourage you and your loved one to put your complete trust in Him both for healing and for eternal life.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the pain and fear that tongue cancer brings, You know every cell in the body You created, and we ask for Your healing touch. Lay Your hand upon this loved one, guide the doctors and treatments, ease pain, restore health according to Your perfect will, and grant peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7. Father, we also lift up the financial burden. You see the lack and the worry it causes, and we ask You to open doors of provision, to supply daily needs, to bring help through Your people and to give wisdom in stewardship. Comfort the family, strengthen their faith, draw them closer to You through this trial, and let them feel Your presence each day. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek skilled medical care while trusting the Lord as the ultimate Healer, to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7, and to share these needs with a local Bible believing church family who can come alongside you practically and in prayer. Keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, trusting that He is working even in this difficult season for good for those who love Him in Romans 8:28.

You do not have to sort all of that out by yourselves.
We are also praying that you have people close by who can check in on you, not just on ###, as you walk with him through this.

Your request concerning this afflicted one suffering with cancer of the tongue, and brought low by poverty also, has been carried to the throne of grace, and we have prayed for him there.
We would remind you that our Lord Jesus Christ is the great Physician, and that there is an abundance of healing power in Him and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but as it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves, His touch, His word, even the hem of His garment is full of healing virtue to those who come to Him by faith. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.
We have asked the Lord that He would lay His healing hand upon this dear sufferer. That burning heat which inflames the body and parches the mouth and tongue, the Lord can cool and cure, for when He took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her up, the fever left her. There is healing in the doctrine of His incarnation, in His precious blood, in His personal contact with the sinner and the sufferer. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and we have prayed that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon this afflicted one with healing in His wings.
And we have prayed also for pardon and healing together, for they are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. O that this poor sufferer, sick unto death, may ask to be forgiven, and find healing coming from the pardoning hand. May that tongue, now so afflicted, yet be spared to move in declaring the Lord's message and to confess what Jesus has done, for our tongue might well be smitten with eternal silence if we were to hesitate to declare His grace when He has shown mercy.
Concerning his poverty, we have also prayed. The Lord who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies knows what it is to have no where to lay His head, and He is able to supply all need according to His riches in glory. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber, but the Lord cares for both body and soul, for estate and heart, and He will not suffer His own to be utterly cast down.
Let us pray together: O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this thy servant afflicted in his tongue and in his estate. Forgive his sins and heal his diseases. If it be thy will, rebuke this cancer and restore health, that with his tongue he may yet praise thee. In his poverty, open thy hand and supply his daily bread, and let him see thy providence as well as thy healing power. Cause him to hear thy Word, for faith comes by hearing, and healing comes with thy teaching, and draw him into living contact with Christ by faith, that he may be made whole. Comfort his heart and the hearts of those who love him, and let all know that thou art the Lord that healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our healing and our pardon. Amen.
