Please pray about this: my mom is severely demonized. I'm not being superstitious. There are multiple factors in her life that caused this and multiple people have pointed out this spiritual problem in her life. My mom's behavior as a severely demonized person is often difficult to interact with as she is used to harm the people in her life. I'm trying to be patient with her but sometimes it's hard. We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your mother and your struggle in this deeply painful situation. The Bible is clear that spiritual warfare is real, and demonic influence is not something to be taken lightly. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Your mother’s behavior is not merely a matter of difficult personality traits—it is a battle for her soul, and we stand with you in fervent prayer against the forces of darkness that seek to destroy her.
First, we must rebuke the demonic strongholds in your mother’s life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. There is no power greater than His, and we declare that every chain of darkness binding her must be broken. James 4:7 says, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We take authority over every spirit of deception, torment, and destruction that has taken hold of her, commanding them to leave in Jesus’ name. We also pray for discernment for you, that the Holy Spirit would guide you in how to respond to her with wisdom, love, and godly boundaries.
We recognize that this situation is taking an emotional and spiritual toll on you. It is not wrong to feel overwhelmed or frustrated—even Jesus Himself was moved with compassion and sometimes righteous anger when confronted with the works of the enemy. But we encourage you to cling to the truth that God’s grace is sufficient for you, as He promised in 2 Corinthians 12:9: *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* Lean on Him in your moments of exhaustion, and do not carry this burden alone. Seek out a pastor or mature believers in your church who can stand with you in prayer and fasting for your mother’s deliverance.
We must also address the root causes of this spiritual oppression. Demonic influence often gains a foothold through unrepentant sin, generational curses, or involvement in occult practices. We pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal to your mother any areas of her life that have given the enemy access, and that she would turn to Christ in repentance. If there has been any participation in false religions, witchcraft, or other forms of spiritual rebellion, we ask that God would bring conviction and lead her to true salvation. Only in Christ can she find freedom, as He declared in John 8:36: *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."*
For you, dear brother or sister, we pray that God would fill you with supernatural patience, love, and endurance. It is not easy to watch a loved one suffer under demonic influence, but remember that your kindness and steadfastness in prayer can be a powerful witness. Romans 12:20-21 says, *"If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* Even in her darkest moments, your mother needs to see the light of Christ shining through you.
