We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is enduring the pain of shingles and the weight of financial struggle. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask You, Lord, to touch this sister with Your healing hand, to ease her pain, and to restore her body to full health. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today.
Lord, we also bring before You her need for provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides (Genesis 22:14). We ask that You open doors of opportunity for her, that You would bring freelance work her way, and that You would supply all her needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Father, we know that You are not a God of lack, but of abundance, and we trust that You will meet her where she is. Give her wisdom in her work, strength in her labor, and favor with those who can help her.
We must also address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this sister has not yet placed her faith in Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray that she would come to know Him, repent of her sins, and receive the gift of eternal life (John 3:16). For those who already know Christ, we pray that she would draw nearer to Him, trusting in His sufficiency in every area of her life.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her heart. Your Word tells us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to You (Philippians 4:6). We declare that she will not be overcome by worry, but will rest in Your promises. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her see Your hand at work in her life.
We also pray for her spiritual walk. May she seek You first in all things, knowing that when she does, all these other things will be added unto her (Matthew 6:33). Help her to delight herself in You, and You will give her the desires of her heart (Psalm 37:4). Let her find her joy and satisfaction in You alone, not in her circumstances.
Lord, we ask that You would surround her with godly community—believers who will pray for her, encourage her, and walk alongside her in this season. Let her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, she will reap a harvest if she does not give up (Galatians 6:9).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
