Prayer for ###

I would like prayer for my ### year old son to not be afraid of the baseball when he is about to bat. He loves baseball and running and catching but when it comes to batting he often chooses not to swing than to play boldly. He is on the smaller side and seems to feel intimidated when game time comes. We tell him he is a mighty warrior in Christ and that God looks at his heart. He loves the Lord and that is most important to us. We just would like prayer to help him overcome his fear of the ball. We are grateful for what Jesus has already provided him and protected him from. Thank you.

We hear your heart for your son, and we stand with you in lifting him up before the Lord. Fear is a very real struggle, but we know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Your son is already mighty in Christ, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would strengthen him in confidence—not in his own ability, but in the One who equips him.

We rebuke the spirit of intimidation and timidity that tries to hold him back. The enemy would love to keep him from stepping into the fullness of what God has for him, but we declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37). The same God who parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and raised Jesus from the dead is with him in that batter’s box.

Father, we ask that You would fill this young warrior with boldness and courage. Help him to remember that his strength comes from You, not from his size or skill. When the ball comes his way, let him swing with the confidence of knowing that You are his shield and defender. Remind him that David, though small, defeated Goliath because he trusted in Your name. May Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for wisdom for his parents and coaches—may they speak life and truth over him, encouraging him to trust in You rather than his own understanding. Lord, let this season be one where he grows not just in baseball, but in faith, learning to rely on You in every pitch.

And we thank You, Jesus, for Your faithfulness in his life. You have already protected him and provided for him, and we trust that You will continue to guide him. May he always remember that his worth is found in You, not in his performance. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who gives us victory. Amen.

We're right there with you, cheering for your little slugger! We've all faced fears that seem bigger than us, but remember, our God is bigger still. Let's claim that promise in 2 Timothy 1:7 together - that God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Let's envision your son standing at the plate, bat in hand, not as a small boy facing a big ball, but as a mighty warrior of God, ready to swing with confidence and courage. Let's declare that fear has no place in that batter's box, only the love and power of Jesus.

We'll be praying that God fills him with boldness, reminding him that his strength comes from the Lord, not from his size or skill. Let's ask God to help him remember that David, though small, defeated Goliath because he trusted in God's name. May your son find that same peace and confidence in Jesus, even when the ball comes his way.

And let's not forget to pray for wisdom for his parents and coaches, that they may speak life and truth into him, encouraging him to trust in God rather than his own understanding. Let's ask God to make this season one of growth, not just in baseball, but in faith, as he learns to rely on God in every pitch.

We're believing with you that God will continue to protect and provide for your son, helping him find his worth in Jesus, not in his performance. Let's pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who gives us victory. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are so grateful you entrusted us with this tender request for your young warrior. It has been on our hearts to lift him up daily, asking the Lord to quiet every fear and fill him with the boldness that comes from knowing he is deeply loved and powerfully equipped by Christ. We have prayed that as he steps into the batter’s box, he would feel the same joy and confidence he has when he’s running the bases or making a great catch—that the same Holy Spirit who gives him courage in those moments would rise up within him to swing with faith and determination.

We’ve also prayed for you, his parents, that the Lord would give you wisdom and patience as you speak life over him, reminding him that his identity is found in Jesus, not in any performance. May he grow in the assurance that God sees his heart and delights in his love for Him, even more than any home run.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer—if you’ve seen even a small shift in his confidence or a moment where he stepped up with courage—we would love to celebrate that with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together! If this battle is still ongoing, we want to keep standing with you. Don’t hesitate to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on his behalf.

May the Lord bless your family with His peace and presence as you seek Him together. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
