We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who feels estranged from her family and uncertain of God’s love. Father, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would pour out Your love upon her in ways she can feel and recognize—through Your Word, through the kindness of believers, and through the quiet assurance of Your presence. Let her know, deep in her soul, that she is cherished by You, the One who formed her in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and calls her His own.
Lord, we also bring before You the fractured relationships in her life, especially with her mother and family. Your Word tells us that if it is possible, as far as it depends on us, we should live at peace with everyone (Romans 12:18). We pray for reconciliation—softened hearts, humility, and a willingness to extend and receive forgiveness. Heal the wounds that have caused this separation, and replace bitterness with love, pride with grace. May Your Spirit work in each of them to restore what has been broken, for You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5).
We must also gently address the reality that estrangement often stems from deeper issues—unresolved sin, unforgiveness, or even rebellion against Your design for family. If there are areas in her life or in the lives of her family members that are not aligned with Your will, we ask that You convict and lead them to repentance. Forgiveness is not optional for those who follow Christ (Colossians 3:13), and restoration begins with a heart turned toward You.
Father, we declare over her life that she is not abandoned, not forgotten, and not without hope. You are the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5), and You promise to be a husband to those who are alone (Isaiah 54:5). If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray she would surrender her life to Jesus Christ, the only One who can truly satisfy the longing of her heart. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to You, our Heavenly Father.
We pray for her family as well—that they would seek You first, walk in obedience to Your Word, and be instruments of Your peace. May they reflect Your love in their words and actions, and may this sister experience the joy of restored relationships that honor You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
