We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who depends on the provision of social security due to special needs that prevent work. Father God, You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We pray that You would move in the hearts of those making decisions about these benefits, that they would act with wisdom, compassion, and justice. Let no bureaucratic error or oversight cut off this vital lifeline, for You have commanded us to care for the vulnerable and defenseless (James 1:27).
Lord, we also ask that You would pour out Your peace upon this precious child of Yours. The stress and fear of uncertainty can be overwhelming, but You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Calm anxious thoughts and replace them with the assurance that You are in control. Remind this dear one that You are a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your love and the support of Your people, that they may feel Your presence in tangible ways.
We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and despair in the name of Jesus Christ, for He came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this one is not forgotten by God, nor is their need hidden from His sight. We stand on Your promise that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10).
Father, if this dear one has not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. For it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they come to know the hope and security that is found only in Christ, who bore our burdens and offers us eternal life.
We commit this situation into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this dear one with Your might, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
