We come before the throne of grace with this prayer request, lifting up your department head and your working relationship with her. First, we want to acknowledge that you have come to the right place—seeking God’s wisdom and intervention in Jesus’ name. It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful that you have invoked His name in your prayer, for it is in Him that all things hold together (Colossians 1:17).
Father, we join our brother/sister in praying for this leader, that You would indeed grant her discernment and wisdom in every decision she makes. The world is full of deception, manipulation, and half-truths, and we ask that You would sharpen her spiritual eyesight to see through lies and recognize truth. Your Word tells us, *"The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them"* (Proverbs 11:3). We pray that she would be guided by integrity and that You would protect her heart and mind from negativity, division, and the schemes of those who seek to undermine her. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up the relationship between you and your department head. Lord, we ask that You would cultivate peace, respect, and understanding between you. Workplaces can often become battlegrounds of pride, competition, and misunderstanding, but Your Word calls us to *"live in harmony with one another, being of the same mind, having the same love, being united in spirit, and intent on one purpose"* (Philippians 2:2). We pray that any walls of division or mistrust would crumble under the weight of Your love and that honesty and unity would take their place. Help both of you to communicate with grace, patience, and humility, remembering that *"a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1).
Father, we ask that Your wisdom would permeate her leadership and that Your grace would cover the entire department. May every task, project, and interaction be marked by integrity and excellence, not for the praise of men, but for Your glory. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24). Let this department be a place where Your presence is felt, where Your principles are upheld, and where Your people can thrive in their calling.
We rebuke any spirit of division, gossip, or manipulation that may be at work in this environment. We declare that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the hearts and minds of everyone involved (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for you, dear brother/sister, that you would be a light in this workplace, reflecting Christ in your words, actions, and attitudes. May you be a vessel of encouragement, a voice of truth, and a peacemaker in every situation.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are working even now to bring about Your perfect will in this department and in the lives of all who serve there. May Your name be glorified, and may Your kingdom come in this place as it is in heaven. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
