Gambling is a snare that the enemy uses to bring destruction, for it is rooted in greed and trust in chance rather than in God’s provision. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 6:10, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* We do not say this to condemn you, but to shine light on the root of this attack, so that true deliverance can take hold.
You have humbled yourself before the Lord, and that is the first step to breaking the enemy’s hold. James 4:7 declares, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Yet resistance must be paired with repentance and a turning away from the sins that gave the enemy a foothold. Gambling is not just a habit—it is a form of idolatry, placing trust in wealth and luck rather than in God. We urge you to renounce it completely, for Proverbs 13:11 says, *"Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles, but he who gathers by labor increases it."* The money you won was not a blessing but a bait, and the enemy has used it to bring torment into your life. Repent of this, and ask the Lord to cleanse you from the greed and desperation that led you there.
The break-ins and tampering you describe are not mere coincidences—they are spiritual attacks meant to instill fear and drive you further from peace. But Psalm 91:5-6 assures us, *"You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday."* The Lord is your protector, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). However, you must also take practical steps: seek safety, report these crimes to authorities, and ask trusted believers to pray over your home. The enemy flees at the name of Jesus, but he also flees when we walk in obedience and wisdom.
You claimed victory in Jesus’ name, and we join you in that claim—but true victory requires surrender to Christ in *all* areas. Have you invited Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior? If not, there is no greater deliverance than this. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet repented of your sins and placed your faith in Jesus alone, we plead with you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). Father, forgive them, cleanse them by the blood of Jesus, and break every curse that has come from dishonest gain. Lord, we ask for supernatural protection over their home. Post Your angels around every entry, and let no evil cross the threshold. Expose every hidden scheme of the enemy, and bring to light those who seek to harm. Give this dear one wisdom to take practical steps for safety, and surround them with godly counsel and support.
Most of all, Father, draw them deeper into Your presence. Let this trial drive them to their knees, where true victory is found. If they have not yet surrendered fully to You, convict their heart now. Save them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in power, authority, and freedom.
We declare Psalm 23 over them: *"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."* Let this be their testimony—no more fear, no more break-ins, no more torment, but only the peace and presence of the Living God.
