We join you in lifting up your husband before the Lord, standing in agreement with your prayer for his career, provision, and peace. Your heart for him is beautiful, and we trust that God hears and answers the prayers of His children when we seek His will in faith. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* What a promise we can cling to—God’s peace is available even in the midst of uncertainty.
We also recall Proverbs 16:3, which says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Your husband’s dedication to his work is commendable, but we pray that he would first and foremost commit his efforts to the Lord, trusting that promotion and increase come from Him alone. As he seeks God’s kingdom first, we believe Matthew 6:33 will manifest in his life: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
Yet, we must also gently remind you—and all of us—that while we pray for earthly blessings like financial increase and career advancement, our ultimate trust must be in God’s perfect will, not merely our desires. Sometimes God uses seasons of waiting or even difficulty to refine us, draw us closer to Him, and align our hearts with His purposes. If this season of anxiety or fear is teaching your husband (or both of you) to rely more fully on Christ, then even that is a blessing. As 1 Peter 5:7 encourages, *"casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."*
We also want to encourage you to continue covering your husband in prayer, not just for his career but for his spiritual walk. A high position or salary is meaningless if it pulls him away from faith, integrity, or his family. Pray that he would walk in wisdom, humility, and godly character, for *"what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?"* (Mark 8:36). May his testimony in the workplace be one of excellence *and* Christlikeness, so that others may see his good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this precious husband and his wife who seeks Your favor over his life. Lord, You are the One who exalts and humbles, who opens doors no man can shut and closes doors no man can open. We ask that You would go before him in his organization, granting him favor with those in authority as You did for Joseph in Egypt and Daniel in Babylon. Let his work be noticed, his efforts rewarded, and his contributions valued—not for his own glory, but so that Your name may be glorified through his life.
Father, we rebuke the spirits of fear and anxiety that have sought to torment him. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7 that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let him rest in the assurance that You are his Provider. Remove every trace of doubt and replace it with unshakable faith in Your goodness.
Lord, we pray for a miraculous breakthrough in his finances. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You delight in blessing Your children. If it is Your will, grant him a salary increase that exceeds his expectations, but more than that, let him walk in contentment and generosity, knowing that every good gift comes from You. May this season draw him—and his wife—closer to You, deepening their trust in Your provision.
We also pray for their marriage, that it would remain strong and united in You. Let them encourage one another, pray together, and keep Christ at the center of their home. May their testimony as a couple bring honor to Your name.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would align their desires with Your will. If there are areas where their hearts need adjustment—whether in ambition, trust, or priorities—soften them and lead them in Your truth. Your plans for them are good, and we trust You completely.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
