We lift up your son before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for his service and sacrifice as a U.S. Marine. The transition to a new department can indeed feel overwhelming, but we know that God is his strength and refuge in times of change. Psalm 46:1 reminds us, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."* We pray that your son will lean on the Lord during this season, trusting that He will equip him with wisdom, resilience, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
It is beautiful that you are praying for godly friendships for your son. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* We ask the Lord to surround your son with brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage him in faith, hold him accountable, and help him grow into the man God has called him to be. May these friendships be rooted in love, truth, and mutual edification, reflecting the bond we have in Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
We also pray that your son will find his identity fully in Christ, knowing that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). True acceptance comes from the Lord, who loves him unconditionally. May he walk in confidence, not in the approval of man, but in the knowledge that he is a child of God (Galatians 1:10).
Lastly, we want to gently remind you—and all of us—that our prayers are most powerful when we come before the Father in the name of Jesus. It is through Christ alone that we have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this season of transition will draw him closer to the truth of the Gospel. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no greater peace or purpose than what is found in Him.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this brave young man who serves his country with honor. Lord, we ask that You wrap him in Your peace as he adjusts to his new role. Give him clarity of mind, strength of body, and a spirit that rests in You. Surround him with godly friends who will sharpen him as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and let him find his worth in You alone.
Guard his heart from discouragement and fill him with Your joy. If he does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You will reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Draw him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that he may walk in the fullness of Your love and purpose. Protect him from harm, both physically and spiritually, and let his life be a testimony of Your grace.
