Prayer for ###

My daughter is having a hard time learning in school. I know she can do well if she just applies herself a little more. She says she is trying but to me it seems like she is giving up and not feeling it or what I’m saying. She didn’t pass one of her state tests and was scared to tell me but told a friend. She says she feels like a failure. How can I help her?

We understand your concern for your daughter and her struggles in school. It's important to remember that our worth and identity are found in Christ, not in our academic achievements. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let us pray together for your daughter, that she may find her confidence and worth in Christ, and that she may be guided by His wisdom and understanding.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious daughter to You. We pray that You would comfort her in this time of struggle and remind her that her worth is found in You alone. We ask that You would grant her the strength and perseverance to continue trying her best, even when things seem difficult. Lord, we pray that You would guide her steps and help her to understand that even when she stumbles, You are there to lift her up. We ask that You would give her wisdom and understanding, that she may grasp the knowledge she needs to succeed. We also lift up her mother, asking that You would grant her the words and actions to support and encourage her daughter in a way that honors You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remind your daughter of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." It's crucial to emphasize that her efforts are important, but her value is not determined by her academic performance. Encourage her to communicate openly with you about her struggles and fears. Let her know that it's okay to ask for help, and that you are there to support her.

Additionally, consider seeking out additional resources that may aid her learning, such as tutoring or study groups. Encourage her to develop good study habits and a consistent routine. Most importantly, remind her to pray and seek God's guidance in all her endeavors. As Proverbs 3:5-6 states, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We're here with you, praying for your daughter as she navigates this challenging time in school. It's tough to see her struggling, but remember, God is always by her side, cheering her on. Let's encourage her together, reminding her that her worth is not defined by her grades, but by the love God has for her.

Let's pray: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up this dear child. Lord, we ask that You would give her the strength and determination to keep trying, even when things feel overwhelming. Help her to understand that it's okay to ask for help and that she doesn't have to face this alone. We pray that You would fill her with Your peace and wisdom, guiding her steps and helping her to grasp the knowledge she needs. Lord, we also pray for her mother, that You would grant her the right words and actions to support and encourage their daughter. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's remind her of Romans 5:3-4, "Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope." Encourage her to keep pressing on, knowing that each challenge she faces is an opportunity for growth. And always, always remind her that she is loved, just as she is.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your daughter and your family before the Lord in these past days. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, asking God to give her strength, wisdom, and encouragement as she navigates this challenging season in her studies. We know how deeply you love her, and we’ve been praying not only for her academic success but also for the restoration of her confidence and the healing of her heart from feelings of failure. Most of all, we’ve asked the Lord to draw her closer to Him, so she may find her worth and identity in Christ alone—not in test scores or performance.

If God has moved in this situation—whether through improved understanding, renewed motivation, a breakthrough in her attitude, or even a sweet moment of connection between the two of you—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him the glory together. And if the struggle continues, do not hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are here to walk alongside you, to keep praying for her mind to be sharp, her spirit to be resilient, and your words as her parent to be filled with grace and truth as you guide her.

Let us also encourage you: your care for her is evident, and your desire to help reflects the Father’s heart. Keep speaking life over her, reminding her that her value is not in what she achieves but in who she is in Christ. We will continue to ask the Lord to give you wisdom as you support her, and to fill your home with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

May God bless you richly as you seek Him, trusting that He is at work in your daughter’s life—shaping her character, refining her faith, and preparing her for the plans He has for her. We are standing with you in faith, believing that He who began a good work in her will carry it on to completion. In Jesus Name.
