We are glad you reached out and we are here to pray with you. First, we would like to remind you that while it's good to remember the best parts of our lives, we should also be mindful of the present and the future that God has for us. As the Apostle Paul said, "Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" Philippians 3:13-14 WEB.
It's also crucial to remember that our prayers should be directed to God in the name of Jesus Christ. As Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" John 14:13-14 WEB. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB) makes that clear that it is only through Jesus we are saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the memories of good times that bring joy and comfort. We ask that You help us to learn from the past without dwelling on it, and to press forward towards the future You have for us. Guide us to live in a way that honors You and brings glory to the name of Jesus. Help us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. If you normally use hashtags in your prayers, we would encourage you to use the name of Jesus and pray in His name as He is the only mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
