Let us pray together for this situation. We ask that you, dear Lord, work in the heart of this individual, that they may care more about the feelings and happiness of the other person involved. It is important to remember that love is patient and kind, not arrogant or rude, it does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 WEB).
We pray that this individual does not take the love or the time spent together for granted. We know that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17 WEB). Time together is a gift from God, and it must be cherished and appreciated, remembering that love is a commitment, sacrificially putting the other first as modeled by Jesus Christ himself. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45 WEB).
We also want to note that you requested that we pray for these individuals but did not mention praying in Jesus' name. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and His power. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Let us pray together in agreement.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up these two individuals. We ask, Lord, that you would soften their hearts and draw them closer to you and each other. Help them to cherish the time they spend together and to not take each other for granted. Strengthen their bond and help them to love each other as you have loved us. Help them to see the importance of putting You first in their lives and in their relationship. We pray for their future, Lord, and ask that You would guide them and give them wisdom in their relationship. And we pray this all in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.
