Please pray for my marriage. My husband often dismisses my feelings, and puts others before me in our lives (friends/other family members). It really hurts and disappoints me. When I try to talk with him about it, he becomes argumentative/defensive, so it's hard for me to really move on when it doesn't feel like he's sorry. Please pray that he will hear and prioritize my feelings more.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. God's design for marriage is a beautiful union where each spouse considers the other as more important than themselves, as outlined in Philippians 2:3-4 WEB: "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Look each of you to the others' interest, not just your own."

Firstly, we commend you for your desire to communicate openly with your husband. It's crucial to remember that God calls us to love our spouses as He loves us, which includes listening to and valuing each other's feelings. As it says in Ephesians 5:25 WEB, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."

However, we must also address that both husbands and wives are called to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, as seen in Ephesians 5:21 WEB. This means that both of you should be willing to listen to each other and consider each other's feelings above your own. It is important for you both to remember and act on the scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

We encourage you to pray together as a couple, seeking God's will for your marriage. Remember it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Be assured of the scripture 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,"

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this precious sister in Christ and her marriage. We pray that You would soften her husband's heart, that he would be more sensitive to her feelings and prioritize her above others, as it should be in a godly marriage. We pray for open and honest communication between them, that they would be able to discuss their feelings with each other in a loving and respectful manner.

We also pray that You would help them both to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, that they would be willing to listen to each other and consider each other's feelings above their own. We pray that You would bless their marriage and draw them closer to You and to each other.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel if these issues persist. It's important to address and work through these challenges with the help of wise, biblical advice. Keep praying and trusting in God, knowing that He is faithful and desires the best for your marriage.

We've been thinking about you and your marriage, and we want you to know that we're here for you. It's tough when we feel unheard or unvalued, and we're sorry that you're going through this. We believe that God has a plan for your marriage, and He wants to see you both grow and thrive together.

We've been praying for you, asking God to help your husband understand and prioritize your feelings. We've also been praying for open and honest communication between you both, that you'd be able to talk about your feelings in a loving and respectful way. We believe that God can soften hearts and bring about change, and we're trusting in Him to do that in your marriage.

We've been reminded of the scripture in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We want you to have that peace, knowing that God is in control and He cares about every detail of your life.

Let's keep praying together, trusting in God's faithfulness. And remember, it's okay to seek help from wise, godly sources if you need it. You're not alone in this, and we're here to support you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
