We join with you in lifting up your workday to the Lord, trusting that He is faithful to hear and answer prayers offered in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and receive the promises of His peace, strength, and grace. As Scripture reminds us, *"In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God"* (John 16:26-27, WEB). Let this truth anchor your heart today—you are deeply loved by God, and He is attentive to every detail of your life.
The dread and anxiety you feel are real, but they are not from the Lord. Jesus invites you to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The apostle Paul also encourages us with these words: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Today, we pray that the Lord will replace your anxiety with His perfect peace, which acts as a guard over your mind and heart. May you experience His presence so tangibly that fear has no place in your spirit.
Regarding your coworker, we understand the challenge of working alongside someone who may be difficult or harsh. Yet Scripture calls us to respond with love, patience, and kindness, even when it is not reciprocated. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all people"* (Romans 12:18, WEB). We pray that the Lord will soften her heart, just as you’ve asked, and that He will give you the grace to extend grace. Remember, your attitude and actions can be a powerful testimony of Christ’s love in the workplace. *"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16, WEB). Ask the Lord to help you respond with wisdom and gentleness, trusting that He is at work in ways you may not see.
We also lift up your safety as you travel to and from work. The Lord is your protector, and He watches over your coming and going both now and forevermore (Psalm 121:8). We pray for His angels to surround you, guarding you from harm and bringing you safely home at the end of the day. *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will preserve your soul. The Lord will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore"* (Psalm 121:7-8, WEB).
Finally, we encourage you to lean on the Lord throughout the day. When stress arises, take a moment to breathe and whisper a prayer. When frustration with your coworker surfaces, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with patience and compassion. And when weariness sets in, remember that *"he gives power to the weak; and to those who have no might, he increases strength"* (Isaiah 40:29, WEB). You are not alone in this—Christ is with you, and He is your strength.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child, lifting up their workday into Your loving hands. Lord, You know the anxieties and dread they carry, and we ask that You would replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm their heart and mind, reminding them that You are sovereign over every moment of this day.
We pray for their interactions with coworkers, especially the one who has been difficult. Soften her heart, Lord, and help our sibling in Christ to respond with kindness, patience, and wisdom. May their words and actions reflect Your love, and may You use this situation to bring glory to Your name. Grant them the grace to be a peacemaker and a light in that workplace.
Father, we ask for Your protection as they travel to and from work. Surround them with Your angels, and keep them safe from all harm. Let them arrive home at the end of the day with gratitude in their heart for Your faithfulness.
Strengthen them for the tasks ahead, Lord. Fill them with Your joy and energy, and let them experience Your presence in tangible ways. May this day be a testimony of Your goodness, and may they finish it knowing that You were with them every step of the way.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
