We come before the Lord with gratitude for the opportunity to lift up this request for diligence and excellence in work, as we are reminded in Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* It is a blessing to labor with purpose, knowing that our efforts are ultimately for God’s glory.
However, we must gently address that the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. Scripture is clear that our prayers are to be directed to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* Additionally, in John 16:23-24, Jesus tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* There is no other name by which we are saved or through which we can approach God (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Let us pray together for this individual, that they may not only excel in their work but also walk in the fullness of God’s will, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved one to You, asking that You grant them wisdom, strength, and favor in their work today. May their hands be skillful, their mind sharp, and their heart aligned with Your purposes. Help them to work as unto You, knowing that their labor is not in vain when it is done for Your glory. May they find their identity and worth in Christ alone, not in their performance or the approval of others.
