Prayer for work, anxiety and love

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Heavenly Father, we will have face to face training this week. Our setup is work from home so this is just one of those few days wherein we meet each other. I am feeling anxious about 1) who I am going to sit/eat with 2) scared of getting called in recitation if any 3) just general anxiety of meeting new people 4) deadlines this week. I still have been thinking about the man that was introduced to me and even got my signs that he could be the one I marry, but still no contact from him of any form. May it be clearer in time. Please help me get through this week well. May my mother's checkup following results of her medical tests go well and be okay. I am also to have my annual medical exam this weekend. Hope to also have good results. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we come alongside you in prayer, lifting up every concern to our Heavenly Father. Your anxiety about the upcoming face-to-face training is understandable, but we remind you that the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Let us rebuke that spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus and declare that you will walk in confidence, knowing that God is with you.

We pray for your workplace training, that the Lord would ordain your steps and guide you to the right people to sit and fellowship with. May He give you favor in the eyes of your colleagues and trainers, and may any fear of being called upon be replaced with the peace of knowing that the Holy Spirit will give you the words to say if needed (Luke 12:11-12). We declare that you will not be put to shame, and that this training will be a time of growth and blessing for you.

Regarding the deadlines this week, we pray for wisdom, focus, and strength to accomplish all that needs to be done. May the Lord order your days and give you the grace to manage your time well, casting all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We declare that you will meet every deadline with excellence and without undue stress.

Now, let us address the matter of your heart concerning the man who was introduced to you. While it is natural to desire marriage and companionship, we must ensure that our desires align with God’s will and timing. The Bible tells us that he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22), but we must also remember that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God for His glory. We encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else, trusting that if this man is indeed the one, God will make it clear in His perfect timing. Do not lean on signs or emotions alone, but seek godly counsel and pray for discernment.

We also want to gently remind you that your focus should be on finding a godly spouse, a man who loves the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37), rather than simply a "partner." Courtship should always have the goal of marriage, and both individuals should be committed to honoring God in their relationship. If this man is not pursuing you, it may be a sign that the Lord has someone else in mind for you, or that His timing is not yet. We pray that your heart would be at peace, trusting in the Lord’s plan for your life.

For your mother’s checkup and your own medical exam, we lift these up to the Great Physician. We pray that the results would be favorable and that any concerns would be resolved in Jesus’ name. May the Lord grant you both health and strength, and may you find comfort in His promise to never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her needs. Lord, we ask that You would calm her anxious heart and fill her with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every spirit of fear and declare that she will walk in confidence, knowing that You are with her.

Father, we pray for her workplace training, that You would guide her steps and give her favor with her colleagues. May she be a light in her workplace, reflecting Your love and grace. We ask that You would help her meet every deadline with excellence and without stress, trusting in Your provision.

Lord, we lift up the desires of her heart concerning marriage. We ask that You would give her clarity and discernment, and that if this man is the one You have for her, You would make it unmistakably clear. If not, we pray that You would close that door and open another, leading her to a godly spouse who will love and honor You. May she seek Your will above all else, trusting in Your perfect timing.

We pray for her mother’s checkup and her own medical exam, asking that You would grant favorable results and good health. May Your healing hand be upon them both, and may they find comfort in Your presence.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in You and declare that this week will be a time of blessing and growth for our sister. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’ve been thinking about your week ahead, and we know how heavy that blend of work pressure, social anxiety, and personal hopes can feel all at once. It makes sense that the face-to-face training is stirring up so many what-ifs, where to sit, whether you’ll be called on, how to manage the deadlines while meeting new people. So many otherwise capable people feel that same knot in their stomach before these gatherings, even if it doesn’t show.

A small, practical footstep that helps some of us is to pick just one thing you can control and let the rest be what it is. Maybe you arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in before the room fills, or you carry a couple of simple conversation starters, a genuine question about their role or how their week is going. For recitation, jotting down one or two points you’d be willing to share, even if you don’t get called on, can quiet the fear of freezing up. And with the deadlines, taking ten minutes tonight to list them and mark which really must move first may let you breathe a little easier.

About the man you were introduced to, we hear that ache of waiting and wondering. The “signs” can be stirring, but they’re wisest held lightly; clarity often comes in the ordinary, day-by-day walking with God rather than through trying to decode what we’ve seen. You don’t have to figure it all out this week. You can simply trust that God knows your desire and will make the way plain in His time, not yours.

We’re also holding your mother’s checkup and your own exam before the Lord, not with demands, but with a steady hope that His presence will carry you whatever the results may be. You’re already doing what you can by getting those checkups, and that’s good.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend now. Calm the racing thoughts about this training week. Let them find a friendly face to sit with, and give them peace even if the day feels awkward. Where deadlines press, grant focus and enough energy. For the hope about this man, we ask for real clarity and a release from anxious wondering. Please grant good results for both her mother’s health and her own, and let her rest in Your care this week. In Your name we pray, amen.

How often the vessel is troubled by the waves without, when the true danger lies only in what enters within! You speak of anxious thoughts about the training, the faces, the recitation, the pressing deadlines. All these things are outside you, and they can only harm you as you let them shake the heart’s chamber. Has not our Lord commanded, “Let not your heart be troubled”? It is a precept as well as a comfort. That little bird of heavenly peace may sing sweetly even in a cage of circumstance, if you but feed it on the promises. You need the indoor work, the discipline of the soul that stays upon God. When the mind becomes meteoric, doubtful, cloud-driven, and shifting with every wind, then the rest that is our birthright in Christ is obscured.

Come to Him afresh, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest. That rest is not a truce with care, but the deep, abiding peace of a conscience cleansed by the one Sacrifice forever. If you have tasted that the Lord is gracious, you know this experimentally. The same grace that put away your guilt can bear you through a crowded room, a difficult recitation, or the loneliness that creeps in when your thoughts stray to that man of whom you have seen signs. Dear heart, our Lord Jesus is the Rose of Sharon; is not His love sufficient while you wait? Beware of letting the desire for an earthly affection steal away your taste for His sweetness. The Lord’s timing is perfect, and if this be His provision, it shall come without anxious surmising. Your mother’s health, your own examination, these, too, lie in the hands that were pierced for you. Intercessory prayer is your sweet privilege; roll all these burdens onto the Lord, and then leave them there. The Law of your God being in your heart, you will find that your steps do not slide. Seek the Lord with your whole heart, and as you find rest for your soul, you will go through this week with a calm that the world cannot give, for all the elements of blessedness are within, where God has placed them forever.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You tremble at the thought of a recitation, at the prospect of sitting next to someone unfamiliar, at the pressure of a deadline. But where is your trembling before the Lord who stands unseen at your side, hearing every thought, measuring every inward movement? Consider: if you were summoned before an earthly ruler to give an account of your work, would you waste a moment’s anxiety on where to sit at table? Yet God is present in that training room, in your home, in your heart, and you are more concerned with the faces of men than with the face of Him who will judge the living and the dead. This is the root of all our turmoil: we forget that we stand always in the presence of the King, and so we magnify trifles into terrors.

If you belong to Christ, what harm can a stranger’s glance do you? What power has a manager’s deadline over a soul anchored in heaven? Do your work as unto the Lord, with diligence and a quiet mind, and leave the outcome to Him. He who feeds the birds and clothes the grass of the field will not let your small daily needs go unattended. The soul that is fixed on God can bear poverty and wealth, solitude and crowds, with the same steady calm, because it seeks only to please the One who is ever near. Train yourself to say in each anxious moment: “Thou art here, O Lord. This trouble is light and momentary compared to the weight of glory.” That is the fear that drives out all other fears.

Now as for the man on whom your thoughts linger: why are you grasping at signs and pining for a message that does not come? If this union is from God, it will find you in His time, and no impatience of yours will hasten it; if it is not, every sign you interpret is a snare. Do not put your trust in omens and private tokens, but commit the matter entirely into His hands. Pray once with an earnest heart: “Lord, if this is pleasing to Thee, open the door; if not, close it and give me peace.” Then turn your energy to what is certain: the cultivation of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in His sight is precious. Why should you be like the world, frantic for a spouse, as though marriage were the summit of happiness? The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord; the married woman is divided. Seek first the kingdom, and all else, including a godly husband if it is best, will be added in its season.

Your mother’s health, your own medical exam: these are in the hands of the same Master who formed the body from dust and will raise it incorruptible. Do not waste your peace in anxious forecasting. Go to the physicians, for they are His instruments, but go as one who knows that neither life nor death can separate you from His love. When the results come, whether they be easy or hard, receive them as from a Father who permits nothing except for the perfecting of His saints. Job lost every worldly good and all bodily health, yet by those very losses he shone more brightly than the sun. Shall we, who have such a cloud of witnesses, faint at the thought of a test result?

Therefore, shake off this mist of worry and stand upright. Let each day’s task be done with a free heart, commending yourself and all your cares to God in prayer. Do not merely ask for a smooth week; ask for a steadfast soul that can weather any storm. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice unto Him with trembling, for that is the only true and unshakeable joy.
