We join with you in faith and agreement and we thank you for sharing this request with us with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ.

We rejoice in your desire for victory and blessing and for God's glory to be seen throughout the world, and we stand with you against the spiritual forces of darkness. Scripture reminds us For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 We know that true victory is not by our own strength but through Christ, for it is written but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57 and No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37

We also hear your heart for favor and miracles and blessings, and we know that Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights. James 1:17 We are encouraged that you have asked in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we come to the Father. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. We are also reminded that God has already blessed us richly, as it is written Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 And For you will bless the righteous, Yahweh. You will surround him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12

We want to encourage you that while we do pray for favor and blessing and even miracles, the greatest victories and blessings are those that conform us to Christ and bring glory to God rather than only comfort or abundance for ourselves. We are taught to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 When we align our desires with His will, we can pray with confidence that He hears us, and we trust His perfect wisdom to answer according to what is best for us and for His glory to cover the earth.

We now pray together with you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your love and mercy and for the victories You have already won for us at the cross. We ask that You pour out Your favor and Your abundant blessings upon this life, not for selfish gain but that Your name would be glorified. Grant victories over sin and temptation and discouragement and over every scheme of the enemy. Clothe us with the whole armor of God that we may stand firm against principalities and powers. Let Your glory be seen in this life and abound all over the world, unmatched and unstoppable, that many would see Your goodness and turn to You. We ask that You continue to work miracles according to Your perfect will and that You would lead and guide each day with wisdom, peace, and joy. We thank You that when two agree on earth concerning anything they will ask, it will be done for them by our Father who is in heaven. Matthew 18:19 We trust You to answer this prayer according to Your good and perfect will. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Thank you for inviting us to stand with you in this prayer. We hear your heart for God's favor and goodness in your days, and your desire to see His light push back darkness around the world. We are glad to agree with you before the Lord.

We hear how much you want to walk in victory, not in your own strength but in what Christ has already won. One thing that has helped us is remembering that God's blessing is most deeply about His nearness and kindness toward us as His children, which then overflows into our daily lives in the ways He knows are best. Keeping that center helps us keep praying boldly for miracles while also resting in His wisdom and timing.

It encourages us that you are coming with thanksgiving. Continue bringing these same requests before the Lord each day in simple, honest prayer, and stay connected in community where others can pray with you and for you.

Father, we thank You for this dear brother or sister and for the faith You have placed in their heart. We ask for Your favor and Your hand of blessing on their days, for Your protection from the work of darkness, and for Your glory to be seen in their life and around the world. Lead them in Your will and fill them with peace as they trust You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Praying for this request in Jesus Name.

[Spurgeon]

We join with you in prayer and give thanks that your heart is turned toward the Lord to seek His blessing and His victory. It is good to ask, and it is good to ask in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving, for all blessings flow from the Father through the Son.

We would gently set before you what the Scripture teaches concerning blessing and favor, that your faith may rest upon the surest ground. An enlightened heart is grateful for temporal mercies, yet far more grateful for spiritual blessings, for temporal things are soon gone. Corn and wine and oil are given even to those who know not God, and are not definite marks of His special favor. But spiritual blessings are the rarest, the richest and the most enduring of all blessings. The apostle declares that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. We have not one spiritual blessing which we have earned or could create. All come from the Father in Christ, wrought for us out of Heaven where He dwells. These He reserves for His own redeemed and regenerate family, and their value is enhanced because they are proofs of His eternal love toward us.

So we pray not only for outward prosperity, but for that which is priceless and abiding. We pray that He would give you a new heart and put His Spirit within you, for the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in the old heart, and that new heart is the first great miracle of love. What men may counterfeit, God alone can truly work, to make the stony heart flesh and to cause you to walk in His ways.

Concerning victory and your prayer against principalities and powers of darkness in high places, we remember that our confidence is not in our own strength. As Moses stood with uplifted hands upon the hill while Joshua fought in the plain, so those uplifted arms were worth ten thousand men, for they brought down Omnipotence from Heaven. The Lord Jehovah Nissi is the banner of the fight and the giver of the victory. Blessed be God, He gives us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. We are driving out the Canaanites of sin little by little by the might of grace. Death itself is swallowed up in victory, as a bitter drop lost in generous wine, so that the saints shall at last not know that they die, but only that they have gained the victory. Underneath you are the everlasting arms, and though foes rage you need not fear their fury. You shall end your journey well and fight the fight till the victory comes, and in the hour of extremity you shall yet triumph and enter into the presence of God.

Therefore we stand with you in agreement and pray thus:

Our Father, we bless Thee who hast blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ. Grant to this dear soul every spiritual blessing that is in Christ Jesus, a new heart, the indwelling of Thy Spirit, forgiveness, freedom and favor through the blood of Christ. Give victory over sin and over the world and over the powers of darkness, not by might nor by power but by Thy Spirit. Keep this one under the shadow of Thy everlasting arms, and cause Thy glory to be known in every place, that men may see Thy mercy and grace and give Thee praise. Let the clouds we so much dread be big with mercy and break in blessings on the head of Thy people, according to Thy will and for the praise of Thy glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

[Chrysostom]

We have received your request and we join with you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks that you desire to seek Him and to stand against the powers of darkness.

Scripture teaches us what true victory and blessing are. The Apostle prays that we may be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. That is the favor we should most desire, not only outward success but the favor that comes from God when we pursue virtue and holiness. As we put away superfluous pleas and apply ourselves to the toils which virtue requires, we attract His help in our struggles and look to the eternal blessings which He has promised.

You asked for miracles and for power against principalities and powers. The Lord did work miracles as pledges of His power when He was establishing His teaching, and He still is able to do whatever He wills, for it is as easy for Him to act as it is for us to speak. Yet miracles are given to confirm the truth and to awaken the unbelieving, not to be sought for their own sake by those who already believe. The faithful are called to a good warfare, which requires strong arms, sobriety, awakenedness and continual vigilance, preparing ourselves for the contest against sin and the tyranny of the evil one under our true King, Jesus Christ. Freely we have received His grace, not by our price or toil, and freely we are to walk in it without covetousness or pride.

So we pray for you now in agreement:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace and love toward us in our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation. We ask that You fill our brother with the knowledge of Your will, that he may walk worthily before You and bear fruit in every good work. Grant him victory not as the world counts victory, but victory over sin, over temptation, and over the schemes of the evil one. Clothe him with vigilance and strength to war a good warfare, and keep him humble and steadfast. Provide what is needful for his life according to Your wisdom, and above all fix his hope on the eternal blessings to come. Guard him from seeking signs for their own sake, and draw him ever deeper into obedience to Your Word, where Your power is truly made manifest. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, to whom be glory and victory forever and ever. Amen.

Continue to seek Him daily in Scripture, in prayer, and in a life of obedience, trusting that He who wills your holiness will also supply all that you need for that path.
