Disciple of Prayer
I am asking for prayer for my unborn son who recently received a high risk screening for down syndrome. We are asking God to please heal him prior to birth and help him to be born fully healthy. We trust God and know thr power of prayer. Thank you so very much!!

We join with you in lifting up your precious unborn son before the throne of grace and we are moved by your faith and trust in God and in the power of prayer during this uncertain time.

We know the worry that comes with a high risk screening and we want to encourage you that a screening is not a diagnosis, but even more we want to remind you that this little boy is already fully known and loved by his Creator. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:13-14. Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you Jeremiah 1:5 and Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3. Whether he is healed in the womb or born with Down syndrome, he is fearfully and wonderfully made, created in the image of God with purpose and value, and we pray you will be given grace to love and cherish him as God does.

We also noticed your request speaks of asking God but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly bring our petitions to God, and we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him not only for this prayer but for eternal life.

Nothing is too difficult for our God. Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me Jeremiah 32:27 and With God all things are possible Matthew 19:26. We pray believing He is able to heal your son completely before birth if it is His will, and we pray for His perfect will to be done with mercy and goodness.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we thank You for this precious life You have knitted together in his mother’s womb. Lord, You see this little boy, You know every chromosome, every cell, every detail of his body, and we ask in Jesus’ name that You would touch him and heal him. We ask that You would cause him to be formed fully healthy and whole, and that the next tests and his birth would testify to Your healing power. We pray for Your hand of protection over him and over his mother throughout the remainder of this pregnancy. Grant her strength and health and peace, and guard this child from all harm. Lord, we pray for this mother and father, that You would not let them be anxious but that they would In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let their requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6. We pray that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and their thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Comfort them with Your presence and remind them daily, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Give wisdom to their doctors and clarity in every decision, and surround this family with godly support and encouragement. Above all, let Your will be done and let this child’s life bring glory to You. We trust him into Your loving hands and we ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every fear to the Lord in prayer, to stay in His Word, and to lean on the body of Christ around you. Keep trusting Him day by day, knowing that He loves this child even more than you do and that He is with you through every step of this journey. We are standing with you in prayer for a healthy, joyful birth and for God’s peace to reign in your home.

We were moved reading your request for your unborn son. Loving him and bringing him before the Lord even now is such a tender and faithful response, and we are honored to join you in prayer.

Waiting after a high risk screening result can feel so heavy, full of questions and love and worry all at once. It makes sense that your heart is holding both deep trust in God and a deep longing for your boy to be healthy.

As you continue to walk through this, we encourage you to stay close to your medical team alongside prayer. Your OB or midwife and any counselor they refer you to can help explain what this screening means, what next steps or follow up might be offered, and how to care for both you and your baby in the weeks ahead. It can help to bring your spouse or a trusted support person to those appointments and to write down questions as they come.

You are already caring for your son so well by seeking prayer and care for him. We are holding you both before the Lord with you.

Father, we lift this mother and her unborn son to You. We ask for Your gentle hand of protection and health over him, for peace that steadies his mother's heart while she waits, and for wisdom for her doctors. Give her strength, comfort and hope each day as she trusts You with his life. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What time you are afraid, you do well to trust in Him, and your request shows that fear and faith are going hand in hand together, as they often do in the children of God.

We have brought your unborn son before the Lord with you, and we join our hearts to yours in asking that the Lord, who formed him in secret and who knows every part of him, would lay His healing hand upon him before he is born. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least things that come from Christ in heaven have a healing virtue in them. We pray that sacred influence would descend upon this little one, and that it would please our gracious God to grant that he be born in full health and strength, to the praise of His mercy.

We know this waiting is heavy, and fear will at times rise up. David said, What time I am afraid, I will trust in You. That is your remedy now. Do not let fear have torment over you as though God were an unkind or distant foe. He is your refuge, and He has not given you a High Priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of your infirmities. He was tempted in all points like as you are, and He hears the complaint of the weak and oppressed. You may cast this burden upon Him, for He cares for you and for the child He has entrusted to you.

We also urge you to rest in the love of Christ's heart, the power of Christ's arm, and the prevalence of Christ's plea. It is the hardest thing for the sheep to do, to lie down, yet the Shepherd makes His sheep to lie down and rest. May He give you that rest now, a blessed confidence that at all times you may trust in Him and in nothing whatever be afraid. Take God at His word and believe Him, for it is true humility to do so, and He has shown in countless lives that our fathers trusted in Him and were not confounded, and that He can be trusted for the future as well as the past.

We pray that the Lord would give you peace that passes understanding in these weeks, sustain the mother in body and soul, guide the hands of those who care for you, and above all reveal His goodness to you whether by healing according to your desire or by showing His sufficient grace to bear you up and to make this child a joy and a witness to His glory. We ask that you would be kept in honest fellowship with Him, standing in the light before Him as you are, with all your fears and hopes laid open, knowing that He deals with us in truth and in mercy through Jesus Christ our Lord, who laid down His life for His sheep.

May the Lord exalt Himself in your eyes as the glorious Lord who dwells on high, and in that exaltation may you find comfort. We continue to pray that God would be merciful and gracious to you, that He would grant life and health to your son, and that you would be enabled to rejoice in God Himself, who is your portion even when all else is uncertain. We trust Him with you for all that is to come.

Your prayer for your unborn son has been received with great care and we join you in lifting him before the Lord.

We hear the weight you carry in these days of waiting and uncertainty, and the love you already have for this child whom God has entrusted to you. Scripture reminds us that God Himself forms the child in the womb and knows him fully, and every life is precious and fearfully and wonderfully made. A screening can bring fear, but it does not define your son or limit what God can do.

We will pray with you and for you, believing that prayer offered together has great power before God. We ask the Lord in His mercy and love to touch your son and grant him health and wholeness, to guard his formation and bring him to birth in strength. We pray also for you, that God will give you peace that passes understanding, steady trust in His goodness, and comfort in His presence each day of this pregnancy. We ask Him to guide the hands of those who care for you, to give wisdom to your doctors, and to surround your family with support and hope.

Even as we pray earnestly for healing and for a healthy birth, we also pray that you will know God is with you and with your child at every moment, and that His grace will sustain you whatever lies ahead. He who did not spare His own Son for us hears the prayers of His people and draws near to those who call upon Him.

Be assured that you are not alone in this. We continue to remember you, your son, and your whole family before the Lord, asking Him to keep you in health of soul and body and to fill your hearts with confidence in His loving care.
