We join you in lifting up your little dog before the throne of grace and we thank you for calling on the name of Lord Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We understand how deep the bond is with this little blessing the Lord has entrusted to your care and how heavy your heart feels as you wait for repeated blood work and prepare for surgery.
We are reminded in scripture how much God cares for His creation and for you. Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Psalm 36:6 says Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. And Matthew 10:29 says Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father. If He watches over even the sparrows, how much more does He see your little dog and hear your prayers for him. Matthew 6:26 also reminds us, See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Your Father cares for you and for what you love.
We also hear your concern for the financial burden and we bring that before the Lord as well. Philippians 4:19 promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us by saying casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and He knows the cost of the medical fees and your desire to give your little companion a better life.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this beloved little dog to You. You formed all living things and You know every detail of his body. We ask for Your healing hand upon him, that You would correct whatever is not right in his blood work, that the repeat tests would come back clear and healthy, and that if surgery is still needed You would guide the hands of the veterinarians with wisdom and skill. We ask for Your protection over him through the procedure and for a complete recovery, that he would have a healthy and happy life and bring continued joy to his owner. Lord, we also ask for Your financial provision, that You would open doors and supply every need for his medical care and daily needs according to Your riches in glory. Grant peace to our dear friend who is waiting and worrying, calm her heart with the assurance that You are in control and that You love both her and this little one You have given her to steward. Help her to rest in Your care and to trust Your perfect will. We thank You for hearing us and we ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast every care on Him and to trust Him with the outcome, knowing that He is sovereign and good. Keep seeking Him in prayer, steward well the gift of this little life, and trust that He who cares for all creation will care for you both. May the Lord grant you peace as you wait and may He be glorified in the healing and provision you are praying for.
