We are glad to join with you in prayer for this important endeavor. We appreciate your recognition of God's guidance and protection in this matter.
Firstly, let's remember that God is the source of all wisdom and understanding. As it says in James 1:5 WEB If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. So, we should continually seek Him during this time through prayer and submission to His will.
While it's commendable to pursue a career in service to others, let's also remember that our ultimate goal should be to serve God in all that we do. As it is written in Colossians 3:23 WEB Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. So, whether this person becomes a fire officer or not God's will for his life is what is important.
Now, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up this individual who is preparing for the exams to become a fire officer. We thank You for the skills and knowledge You have already given them, and we ask that You would bring to remembrance all that they have learned as they approach these exams.
We pray for Your guidance and protection over them and all the applicants. We ask that Your will be done in their life and that they would find contentment in Your path for them. Help them to remember that their identity is not in their career, but in You.
Father, we ask that You would open the right doors for their future, not just for their success, but so that they may be a light for You in whatever position You place them. In every step, may they draw closer to You and bring others to know You too.
We ask this all in Jesus' name, acknowledging that it is only by His name that we have access to You. As it is said in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank You for the gift of Your Son, and we pray that this person would know You more through this process.
Amen.
We encourage this person to trust in God's plan for his life, whatever the outcome of the exams. God is faithful and will provide a path that is right for him.
