We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this urgent request for asylum. Heavenly Father, we know that You are the ultimate Judge, the One who sees all and knows all. We ask that You move mightily in this situation, softening the heart of the judge and guiding the lawyer to present this case with wisdom and compassion. Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty and ask that Your will be done in this matter, for You declare in Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."
We pray for peace and clarity for this dear one as they await this decision. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You grant them favor in the eyes of those who will make this decision, that they may see the truth and act with justice and mercy.
Father, we also lift up the lawyer involved in this case. Give them wisdom, discernment, and a heart for justice as they advocate on behalf of this individual. May they be guided by Your Holy Spirit in every word they speak and every action they take. We know that You are a God who cares deeply for the oppressed and the stranger, as You command us in Leviticus 19:34, "The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we ask that You fill this individual with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We also rebuke any unjust or ungodly decisions that may be looming over this case. We trust in Your justice, Lord, and we ask that You intervene in a powerful way.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You, and no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer them according to Your perfect will. May this individual experience Your grace, mercy, and favor in this critical time. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His timing. Remember that even when we do not see the full picture, God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Keep your heart fixed on Him, and do not lose hope, for the Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). May you feel His presence and peace as you wait for this decision.
