Disciple of Prayer
Hi, I'm requesting prayers for someone close to me, who I care about deeply and dearly. Her name ###, aka "###", but I want to keep this prayer anonymous. She has been separated from her husband for almost 10 years. He has narcissistic tendencies, and is very abusive to her, mentally, emotionally and physically. The abuse has been so bad at times that she has been hospitalized. Even though they are separated, she still has contact with him because of their children, both adult women now. These girls, her "babies" as she calls them, were miracles in themselves, as she was told she may never have children. However, he is driving a wedge between them and her. Recently, her oldest daughter, who was always closer to her father, had a baby. Either ###'s estranged husband or her daughter sent a picture to ###, who then forwarded it to me, as well as 2 others. The daughter is now claiming ### posted the picture on social media, which she did not, as she avoids it as much as she can. Because of this accusation, the daughter is forbidding ### all contact with her new granddaughter. I want to also include that within an hour of ### being notified of the birth, she received a "congratulations" regarding her new granddaughter from a mutual friend that she shares with her estranged husband. The mutual friend lives out of state and was not one of the people she informed. The only person who could have informed the friend was her husband. The daughter is only going by what her father said, and will not check for herself. Her estranged husband refuses counseling and treatment, and is just making life harder for my friend, with continued threats and abuse. My prayer request is for her daughter to see through the lies her father has told. Accept the truth that her mother was, and still is, abused, even after seeing it first hand. And for my friend to know that this is not how love should be. I'll be honest, I care for her deeply and pray she would allow me to show her how love is supposed to be, as it is written in I Corinthians Ch.13. Again, I ask for prayers for ### and to keep this anonymous. Thank you.
