Prayer for those who are lonely

Dear Heavenly Father,

I pray for those who are lonely, for those who are suffering with depression, for those who need a friend and feel as if there is no one they can trust in this world. Father, please comfort them, and remind them that you are near. Let them experience your love. I also pray that you can help me become that person. Grant me the strength to do that for others. I pray that they will also have an earthly friend who can ease this time of need. Thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ and for being the friend who sticks closer then a brother.
