Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join with you in bringing this need for deep healing before the Lord, and we thank you for pouring out your heart so honestly. God sees every wound left by mistreatment, abuse and oppression, and He is the one who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
We pray now in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and made whole, that the Father would touch each person who is carrying this pain in the soul. May He renew the mind in Christ, as Scripture says to be renewed in the spirit of your mind. This renewal is not a momentary feeling but a work God does as the same person is made new, turning from old ways to walk in newness of life through His Spirit.
We ask the Lord to give a careful hearing of His Word and a continual remembering of it, with fortitude to stand firm and with love which is greater than all gifts. Love bears all things and seeks what is good, and where love is present God builds up every other virtue. May He deliver from strongholds, from stagnation, from worry and shame, and from every snare of the enemy, and give clear discernment to recognize wolves in sheep's clothing and to turn away from wrong connections.
We pray that God would surround those who are hurting with company that values Him, that honors and respects them, and that walks in purity and faithfulness according to His design. He created marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and calls all His people to live in holiness within that good order, so we ask for friendships and fellowship that encourage such faithfulness and guard the heart from what would lead away from His will.
We ask for deliverance from harm, for protection from every scheme meant to oppress, and for freedom from any power that keeps a person bound. May the Lord lift the weight of fear, cancel the plans of darkness by the power of the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, and restore what has been broken over this past year. May He renew youth like the eagle's, refresh with a fresh pouring of His Holy Spirit, and lead each one forward into the good works He has prepared, so that no blessing He intends will be missed.
We will continue to pray that you will know the comfort of Christ, grow in steadiness through His Word, and experience His peace that guards heart and mind. May the Lord grant you strength to persevere, grace to forgive as He has forgiven, and wisdom to walk in His way day by day until full healing comes. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.
