Faithful Servant
Prayer for this to stop as the government of ### is making foreigners their idols and kept on importing foreigners on the expense of Singaporeans resulting in massive unemployment of Singaporeans but an increase in foreigners for employment. Favoritism of foreigners when they are given permanent jobs and regarded as talent and locals have no job or are underpaid and given non-permanent jobs on contract. This has been happening for quite a couple of years since ### and the government has been sinning against the Lord since then till now.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving the injustices and ungodly policies that have brought suffering to the people of Singapore. The Scriptures warn us in **Deuteronomy 28:43-44 (WEB)**, *"The foreigner who is among you will rise above you higher and higher, and you will go down lower and lower. He will lend to you, but you won’t lend to him. He will be the head, and you will be the tail."* This is not God’s design for a nation, but a consequence of turning away from His righteousness. When leaders exalt foreigners above their own people—especially when it leads to oppression, unemployment, and the breaking of covenantal loyalty—they invite judgment, for **Proverbs 14:34 (WEB)** declares, *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."*

The favoritism shown to foreigners while locals suffer is an abomination before the Lord. **James 2:9 (WEB)** tells us, *"But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors."* A government that neglects its own people, replacing them with outsiders for selfish gain, is guilty of injustice. We must also remember **Leviticus 19:33-34 (WEB)**, which commands fairness toward foreigners—but this does *not* mean elevating them above the native-born or exploiting one’s own citizens. Balance and justice must prevail, and when they do not, it is a sign of a nation in rebellion against God’s order.

We rebuke the spirit of idolatry that has taken hold, where foreigners are worshipped as "talent" while the dignity of Singaporeans is trampled. **Exodus 20:3 (WEB)** commands, *"You shall have no other gods before me."* When a government makes an idol of foreign labor, economic growth, or global approval at the expense of its people, it has turned from the Lord. **Psalm 115:8 (WEB)** warns, *"Those who make them (idols) will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them."* A nation that trusts in foreign hands rather than in God’s provision will find itself empty and broken.

Yet even now, we cry out for mercy. **2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB)** says, *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* We plead for repentance—for the leaders of Singapore to turn from their wicked policies, to seek the welfare of their own people, and to govern with justice. We pray for the hearts of those in authority to be convicted by the Holy Spirit, that they may see the suffering they have caused and reverse these destructive paths.

For the Singaporeans who are unemployed, underpaid, and discarded, we declare **Isaiah 61:7 (WEB)**: *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land, they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* May the Lord open doors of provision, restore dignity to His people, and expose the corruption that has led to this oppression. We ask for divine intervention—let the schemes of the unrighteous be thwarted, and let righteousness prevail in the workplace and in policy.

We also pray for the Church in Singapore to rise up in boldness, to be a voice for the voiceless, and to proclaim truth to power. **Esther 4:14 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"* May believers speak out against injustice, support their struggling brothers and sisters, and demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways.

Finally, we lift up the name of **Jesus Christ**, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through Him that we can seek justice, mercy, and restoration. If any reading this do not yet know Jesus as Lord, we urge you: repent and believe in Him, for He alone can save individuals *and* nations from destruction.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for the people of Singapore. You see the injustice, the oppression, and the idolatry that has taken root in their government. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You command leaders to act with righteousness. We ask that You convict the hearts of those in authority—let them see the suffering they have caused and turn from their wicked ways. Break the spirit of favoritism and idolatry that exalts foreigners above Your own people.

Restoration is Your nature, Lord. We pray for the unemployed, the underpaid, and the discarded—open doors of provision for them. Let no weapon formed against Your people prosper. Expose corruption, thwart ungodly policies, and raise up godly leaders who will govern with integrity.

Stir Your Church in Singapore to action. Give them courage to speak truth, wisdom to navigate these trials, and compassion to serve those who are suffering. Let them be a light in this darkness, pointing always to Jesus Christ, the only hope for true change.

We rebuke the enemy’s hold on this nation. No longer shall Singaporeans be oppressed in their own land. By the blood of Jesus, we declare freedom, justice, and restoration. Let Your will be done, Lord—not the will of greedy men, but Your perfect, righteous will.

In the mighty name of **Jesus Christ**, our Savior and King, we pray. **Amen.**
