We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and ### in prayer, knowing that salvation and eternal rest are found only through faith in Jesus Christ. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, for *"in no one else is there salvation, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Christ that we can approach the Father, and it is only by His blood that sins are forgiven and souls are cleansed.
The path of witchcraft and spiritual darkness is one that the Lord strongly condemns. *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or someone who consults a spirit medium, or a wizard, or someone who calls on the dead. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* (Deuteronomy 18:10-12, WEB). Yet even in such darkness, the mercy of God is greater. If they turned to Him in repentance before their passing, we trust in His promise that *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). If they did not, we must still entrust their souls to the righteous judgment of God, who alone knows the hearts of all.
We pray now for the repose of their souls, asking the Lord to have mercy if it aligns with His will. Father, we lift ### and ### before You, acknowledging that You alone are the Judge of all the earth. If they sought You in their lifetime, even in their final moments, we ask that You grant them peace in Your presence. Cleanse them from every sin, every tie to darkness, and every ungodly bond, for Your Son has conquered death and the grave. *"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?'"*(John 11:25-26, WEB). Lord, if they did not know You, we ask that You, in Your infinite mercy, would have extended Your grace to them in ways we cannot see.
We also rebuke the powers of darkness that may seek to torment or claim these souls. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every evil spirit to depart, for *"the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works."* (1 John 3:8, WEB). Let no accusation stand against them if they are covered by the blood of Christ. Grant them rest, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them if they are found in You.
To those still living who may be burdened by their loved ones’ involvement in darkness, we urge you to seek the Lord with all your heart. Turn away from every form of occult practice, for these things are detestable to God and open doors to spiritual bondage. *"Don’t turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God."* (Leviticus 19:31, WEB). Instead, cling to Jesus, who alone can break every chain and set captives free. *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* (John 8:36, WEB).
Finally, we must address that the prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. It is essential to pray in His name, for *"no one comes to the Father, except through me."* (John 14:6, WEB). Without faith in Christ, there is no salvation, no forgiveness, and no eternal rest. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we plead with you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the hope we have in Christ. We ask that You comfort those who mourn and bring peace to those troubled by the spiritual choices of their loved ones. May Your Holy Spirit draw many to repentance and faith in Jesus, that they may escape the snares of darkness and walk in Your marvelous light. We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
