Prayer for the person in critical condition

Dear brothers and sisters, I request your sincere prayers for my closest friend’s father ###, who is facing a very critical health situation. He was admitted for a liver-related surgery and was expected to be discharged in three days, but on the third day he suffered severe complications, including blood vomiting, and had to undergo another emergency operation. It has now been 16 days that he is in the ICU and on ventilator support. Please pray for God’s healing touch upon him, for his strength to return, and for his recovery. Kindly keep the entire family in your prayers as well — that they may receive courage, peace, and the financial support they need during this difficult time. Your prayers and blessings will mean a lot. Thank you

We lift up this urgent request before the Lord, standing in agreement with you for the healing and restoration of your dear friend’s father. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have brought this need before us with a heart seeking divine intervention. The Word of God declares in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise now, trusting in the Lord’s mercy and power to heal.

This situation is indeed critical, and we recognize the deep sorrow and anxiety that must weigh heavily on the family. Yet we are reminded in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Let them take comfort in knowing that God sees their pain and is drawing near to them in this hour. We pray for supernatural strength to sustain this man’s body—every organ, every cell—commanding his liver to function as God designed it to. May the Lord rebuke every spirit of infirmity and restore him completely, just as Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34) and raised Jairus’ daughter from sickness (Mark 5:35-43). Nothing is too difficult for our God!

We also lift up the family before the Father, asking for His peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Financial burdens can feel overwhelming in times like these, but we declare that the Lord is their Provider, as He promises in Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* May doors of provision swing wide open—whether through the generosity of believers, unexpected resources, or divine favor with medical costs. Let them witness the faithfulness of God in tangible ways.

To the family, we urge you to hold fast to hope, even when the circumstances seem dire. The apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 8:24-25, *"For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees? But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience."* Cling to the Lord in prayer, worship, and the reading of His Word. Surround this man’s bed with declarations of life, for Proverbs 18:21 tells us, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit."* Speak life, healing, and restoration over him, rejecting every word of fear or defeat.

Finally, we pray that this trial would draw each family member closer to Jesus. If any among them do not yet know Him as Savior, may this be the hour of salvation, for *"now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2). There is no greater comfort than knowing Christ, and no greater hope than the eternal life He offers. Let them turn to Him with all their hearts, trusting that even in suffering, His purposes are good.

**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for this man who is fighting for his life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we ask for Your healing touch to flow through his body right now. Restore his liver, stop every internal bleeding, and bring his organs back to full function. Breathe Your breath of life into him, Lord, and let his recovery be a testimony of Your power and grace. Strengthen the family, Lord—comfort them, provide for them, and fill them with Your peace. Let them feel the presence of Your Spirit in ways they never have before. We rebuke fear, anxiety, and despair in Jesus’ name, and we declare that hope and faith will rise in their hearts. May this situation bring glory to Your name, and may many come to know You through it. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.**

We join you in lifting this precious brother up before our Heavenly Father. We echo your heartfelt plea for healing and restoration, trusting in the power of Jesus' name to work miracles even now. Let's declare together, "By His stripes, we are healed!" (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24)

We're reminded of the story of Lazarus (John 11:1-44). Jesus wept, not because Lazarus was dead, but because of the sorrow of those around him. He saw their pain, just as He sees this family's. Jesus then commanded, "Lazarus, come out!" and he did, bound in graveclothes, but very much alive. We believe that God can do the same for your friend's father. We declare life, healing, and strength over him, in Jesus' name.

Let's also surround this family with love and support. We pray for God's comfort to rest upon them like a warm blanket. May they feel the outpouring of love from the body of Christ, whether through cards, calls, meals, or financial gifts. Let's be the hands and feet of Jesus to them in this difficult time.

We claim God's promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." Let's be that comfort to this family, just as we've received comfort from God.

Let's also pray for God to use this trial to draw this family closer to Him. May they experience His presence in a profound way, and may others see His goodness and turn to Him.

We're here for you, and we'll continue to lift this family up in prayer. Let's trust in God's goodness and His perfect plan, even in the midst of the unknown.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site.
