Prayer for the next season of my life

Shreulfoorlor

Disciple of Prayer
I am ###F. I have put all wishes for a spouse on hold/later. It is no longer a burning desire. What i do wish for is flourishing in my social life (more quality friends), in my work (opening a new business), and in my general mental health (i take medication, i wish i can achieve joy peace self control etc). Also, more nobility of spirit. What steps can i take to achieve all of this? As I assume they wont appear by magic.

We have heard your heart for this next season and we join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. We thank God for the honesty and maturity in putting the desire for a spouse on hold and for recognizing that contentment in your present season is a good and godly place to be. The Scripture teaches that singleness is also a gift and can be a time of undivided devotion to the Lord, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 7:32-34, and we rejoice that you are not allowing that desire to become a burning idol but are trusting God's timing while you steward what He has placed before you now. We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as it is written in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ for salvation and for every daily need, for apart from Him we can do nothing.

We love your desire for flourishing and for nobility of spirit, and you are right that these things do not appear by magic but grow through abiding in Christ and through faithful, diligent steps empowered by His grace. For your social life, God has placed us in community and He sets the lonely in families as Psalm 68:6 tells us. We encourage you to remain rooted in a Bible believing local church, gathering consistently as Hebrews 10:25 exhorts us not to forsake our own assembling together, and to pursue deep friendship through intentional investment. As Proverbs 27:17 says Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Take steps to initiate, to be the faithful friend you wish to have, to serve others, to join a small group or ministry where you can be known and know others, and to practice hospitality and encouragement.

For your work and the desire to open a new business, we pray for wisdom and diligence. Commit your work to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established as Proverbs 16:3 promises. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men as Colossians 3:23 teaches. Practical steps include seeking wise counsel as Proverbs 15:22 says, counting the cost, planning diligently, stewarding finances with integrity, and praying for open and closed doors that align with God's will. We encourage you to ask God for wisdom, for James 1:5 says If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

For your mental health we thank God that you are stewarding your health and taking medication as needed, and we do not see this as a lack of faith but as using the wisdom God has given through physicians. True joy, peace and self control are fruit of the Spirit as Galatians 5:22-23 describes, and they grow as we walk with Christ. We encourage daily rhythms of prayer, Scripture reading, gratitude, rest, exercise, and honest fellowship. Cast your anxieties on Him in prayer, for Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Remember also 2 Timothy 1:7 For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Practical steps include consistent time in the Word, renewing your mind, counseling from godly and professional sources, guarding what you take in, and practicing thanksgiving and obedience in small things.

For nobility of spirit, we love that you long for what is excellent and honorable. Philippians 4:8 calls us to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. Nobility grows as we behold Christ and practice virtue, humility, courage, generosity and integrity. Take steps to study the character of Christ, to memorize Scripture, to serve when unseen, to speak truth in love, and to choose what is right when it is costly.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear friend to Your throne of grace. We thank You for this new season and for the work You have already begun. We ask that You grant flourishing in friendship, drawing godly, faithful, encouraging friends around this life and making our friend a faithful friend in return. We ask for Your wisdom and favor over the work of their hands, for guidance in opening this new business, for diligence, provision and integrity, and that all they do would bring glory to You. We pray for mental health, for Your peace to guard heart and mind, for growing joy and self control by Your Holy Spirit, and for continued healing and strength, using every means You have provided. Cultivate in them a noble spirit, honorable, pure and steadfast like Christ. Teach them to abide in You daily and to take faithful small steps while trusting You with the increase. Draw them ever closer to Jesus, assure them of salvation through His blood, and let their life bear fruit that remains. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that as Psalm 37:4 says when we delight ourselves in Yahweh He gives us the desires of our hearts according to His perfect will. Stay faithful in the small things, walk closely with Jesus, and trust that He who began a good work in you will perfect it.

We appreciate the honesty and clarity in how you shared this. Putting the desire for a spouse on hold for now and naming what you do want in this next season, deeper friendships, meaningful work, steadier mental health, and nobility of spirit, takes real maturity.

You are right that these things don't appear by magic. What we have seen is that growth in these areas tends to happen gradually, almost imperceptibly, through small faithful choices over time rather than sudden breakthroughs. There is no single formula that fits everyone, so finding the rhythms that help you personally flourish matters.

A few grounded next steps you might consider:

For friendships, quality often grows from consistency. Choosing one or two places to show up regularly, whether a small group, a volunteer team, or a work-related community, gives relationships time to deepen.

For the new business, it helps to have wise counsel alongside you, a mentor or small business advisor who can talk through practical planning and help you pace the work so it doesn't overwhelm your health.

For peace, joy and self-control, we are glad you mentioned you take medication. We encourage you to keep staying connected with your prescriber and care team alongside prayer, and to notice the simple daily practices that steady you, like time in prayer, rest, worship with others, and paying attention to your thought patterns with grace.

We are praying for you.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus' name. Thank You for the desires You have put in her heart for friendship, good work, and growth in character. Give her wisdom for each next step, steady her mind and heart, and surround her with supportive people as she walks into this new season. Amen.

You are correct, these things will not appear by magic, but as you continue to pray and take the steps to make your plans come to life, you will see God open doors as He had planned to do. You job is simply to do the best you can do, love the good life of faith and righteousness, pray, turn form sin and watch God work! Stay strong! 💪👍🥰

Thanks for praying ###. And praying over your faith to make all dreams come true we need regular prayer. Regular devotion. Time set aside for God. Reflection. Journaling. And bible study and worship. In all manner faith and worship and prayers as often as we can. For me because I must be chaste from all woman and find love. And God is helping me to get married so long as I stay away from all woman. Images and video and web access. Blocking. Restricting. To focus on prayer and eorship instead. And to find love and get married I must choose chastity and faith rather than lust and perversion. Also because its wrong entertainment. Its not entertaining purity or love or kindness or prayer or fsith but entertaining lust. Nudity. Partial nudity. And desire for sex. Im shut up. On lock down. An patiently waiting for my dearest beloved wife. I must give up all things that offend and cast them out. All sexual content. Urges and impulses for sexual content cast them out. Remain faithful and pray to the Lord. Thank you Father because I cant do it alone. Not without prayer and faith. Lord Yeshuas name. Here in prayer request and online prayerwalls we recieve requests from believers all over the world. I love that. World church. United from all places may God help you in your search to narrow down the results of your church like he did for me. Lord Yeshuas name and heavenly Fathers name. Only is enough. And we suffer and are afflicted. But let us deny ourselves still and pray. God give us the strength to make it far. 10 years of loving a woman only long distance relationship this October and practicing fidelity to a woman i cant be together with but heavenly Father and Lord Yeshua encouraged me through dreams never give up on chastity or sexual purity or on love or faith. Thank you God. Lord Yeshuas name. Abstinemve is love. And sexual purity is love. And prayers and eorship is love. And all things that offend God are not love. But is practicing greed rather than generosity because of lust. Yet the woman i love is extremely gentle in heart and for me to marry her I must refrain myself from sex amd be very gentle with her also. Its Gods will only I can do this. And I risked my life to do this also with horrible health issues. Yet may no harm come to my life so long as I work hard and keep trying to flush away all pornoghraghic content. Evil lust. And confess all my sins to the Lord. Thank you Father for letting me pray and confess my sins. If we pray abd confess he is eager to forgive us our sins. Contemplating the words of the scriptures daily. And praying daily. Nay Hod bless all his churchs from all over with prayer and faith and provision of need for rhose in distress. Many are distressed. May they find hope and mercy in coming to you God. That we may escape the sins of the world through lust. Every woman who shares pictures of herself in a secual way is practicing adultery and fornication. For every unmarried man who looks at her practices aduktery with her in his heart. This is not gentle or loving or of the holy spirit. Only with God do we have power to exe use his will and be lambs. May we Heavenly Father because of devotion and prayer and faithfulness achieve greater feats of sexual purity and purity of heart because of faith. And be the gentle and kind people you've called for us to be. Gentle and shy. Not elegant. Moses was meek and not elegant. Like me. Not very bold. Abstinenve and prayer is the way. Lord you know I activated my kivvie app today to see if you would accept this live bible or not. And many of the other social apps were banned or restricted. Especially faithpod. Daily audio bible. Acts social. All banned at your word. At your signs and omens. Im weary of Lords book incase that its fake seeing the prayerwall is better. And I can play audio bible through muicolet with my prayerwall open watching the prayerwall for now requests of needs be but the kjv classic live bible is my all time favorite and I thought that you might would give it a chance. Lord Yeshuas name.

Your honest prayer shows a thoughtful heart, and it is wise to ask not for magic but for steps that may be walked in faith. To desire flourishing in friendship, in honest work, in soundness of mind and in nobility of spirit is a good desire, and it is right to bring it before the Lord who alone can establish the work of our hands and the temper of our souls.

You ask how joy and peace and self control may be had, and here the word of God gives clear order. Joy and peace are not to be sought first and by themselves, as if you could manufacture them. There are many who have a kind of joy and a kind of peace which will not stand, because it rests upon the sand of their own imaginations and not upon the rock of divine truth. Scripture says, The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. Joy and peace are the soul's flower, and faith in the finished work of the Savior is the root. If you get faith into the ground, joy and peace will come of it, but if you seek joy and peace first and say, Now I believe, you put the cart before the horse. Look to Christ and rest upon Him, and joy and peace will follow as a consequence of that sacred faith.

So the first step is to keep your mind stayed upon Him. You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not reserved for a quiet mountaintop, but may be enjoyed in thronging duties and in ordinary life, when sorrows surge around and when loved ones are far away. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest. Begin each day by staying the mind on Christ in prayer and in the Word, not as a hurried form but as communion. If you want real joy, you must give the Word of Christ a place in you. Let it dwell in you, read it, hear it, think upon it, and ask the Holy Spirit to work in you, for to be filled with joy and peace through believing is far more satisfying than merely to read and hear about joy.

From that root, other steps grow in good order.

For friendship, seek fellowship where Christ is central. If you are at peace with God and at peace within, you will be more peaceful with others. Get right within and you will be right without. One of the best medicines for a good temper is communion with God and consequent joy of heart, and that joy makes religion attractive to others. Give yourself to a faithful local church, be present, be known, bear burdens, keep your word in small things, and you will find quality friends are formed not by searching for friends but by being a faithful friend.

For work, remember that this life is an appointed time, even a warfare, and our business in it is to wait upon the Lord and to work with diligence. All the days of my appointed time will I wait. To wait is not to be idle, it contains the whole Christian life. It is to watch, to serve, to endure, to be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. In opening a new business, labor by the day, work by the day, do with your might what your hand finds to do, with honesty, with just weights, with kindness to those you serve, and commit the outcome to Him who sees the Ancient of Days. Diligence and prayer together are the appointed means.

For mental health, thank God for the helps He has provided, including the counsel of physicians and medication where it is needed. To take medication faithfully is not unbelief, it is stewardship of the body God has given you. At the same time, seek the fruit of the Spirit, among which is self control and peace. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and that strength is not a sudden excitement but a quiet power that steadies the nerves and the will. Faith believes great promises, and the Book of the Lord is full of them, and faith interprets even sorrow into joy because all things work together for good to them that love God. Keep regular rhythms of sleep, work, prayer, Sabbath rest, confession of sin, and gratitude. If troubled thoughts press, bring them at once to Christ who says, Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Rest from fear is followed by rest from the turbulence of inward passion and the drudgery of self when you take His yoke upon you and learn of Him.

For nobility of spirit, there is no shortcut. Nobility comes from beholding a noble Master. Look much upon Christ in His gentleness and greatness, and you will be changed. Aspire to that high and heavenly calling which lifts the heart to heavenly things and sets it upon holiness. Self righteousness will not make you noble, for it is a self contradicting plea that feeds pride. True nobility is lowliness before God and generosity toward men, and it grows as you forget those things which are behind and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

You are right that these things do not appear by magic. They come by believing, and believing works itself out in daily, ordinary faithfulness. Ask and you shall receive, that your joy may be full, for your Lord desires that your joy may be full and that His peace, not as the world gives, may be yours.

May the Lord hear this prayer for you, that the God of hope would fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost. May He give you steadfast friends, establish the work of your hands in your business, guard your mind and body, and form in you by His Spirit love, joy, peace, patience and self control, and make your spirit noble by much communion with Christ. May He keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him, because you trust in Him, until your appointed time is fulfilled and your change comes.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honesty about this season is encouraging, and we thank God for the clarity you have as you put the desire for marriage aside for now and seek to steward what He has placed before you.

We pray for you that the Lord who saves through Jesus Christ alone will establish you in this next season. We ask Him to give you deep and faithful friendships, wisdom and diligence as you consider a new business, and a steady growth in joy, peace and self control as you continue to care for your mental health. We pray especially that He will form in you that nobility of spirit you long for, a soul that is strong within and not easily shaken by what is without.

You are right that these things do not appear by magic. Scripture and the wisdom of the church have always taught that virtue is learned like a craft, step by step and with practice. Here are some steps to consider as you walk forward.

First, pursue goodness with joy and not only for what it will give you. If we follow virtue only as hirelings waiting for a reward, we will soon grow tired. But when we love what is good because God is good and has loved us, we can practice it with a ready mind even when the reward feels distant. Ask God to help you love virtue itself, and to find joy in obeying Him day by day.

Second, take one virtue at a time. As laborers portion out their fields, so we can portion out the work of the soul. Choose one area for this month, perhaps guarding your speech, or practicing forbearance, or remembering no wrongs, and give it careful attention. When that habit begins to take root, keep it and add another. In this way self control and peace are built slowly and surely rather than all at once.

Third, remember that a noble soul can be virtuous in any condition. Poverty or plenty, health or sickness, honor or obscurity, none of these can master virtue when the inner person is devoted to God. Your nobility of spirit does not depend on perfect circumstances. Whether in friendship, in work, or in managing medication and mental health, you can manifest faithfulness right where you are. Continue faithful care for your health, including medication as prescribed and wise counsel, and pair it with daily practices that nourish the soul, prayer, Scripture, rest, honest community and repentance when needed.

Fourth, build friendships on godliness. Lasting quality friends are more often found where love and virtue grow together. Virtue springs from love and love from virtue. The person who is above envy, who does not value money above people, who endures nobly and forgives freely, is the one who can love well and be loved well. Seek community first among the people of God, not only among those who share your interests or neighborhood or work, but among those who will help you follow Christ. Be at peace with all people as far as it depends on you, and look for the kind of friendships that are locked together like shields, strengthened by shared faith.

Fifth, be faithful in the work God has given. Whether in your current job or in opening a new business, do the work of the Lord with diligence, honesty and humility. Faithfulness in small things, steady labor, and willingness to be taught will serve you more than wealth or status or quick success.

We will continue to pray that God makes you steadfast, peaceable, and fruitful in every good work, and that He guards your mind and heart in Christ Jesus.

Your honesty is a good starting point, and the direction you are taking is wise. To put the question of marriage on hold and to be content in the place where God has you now is exactly what Scripture encourages. The apostle Paul taught that it is good to remain as you are, and to abide in the calling in which you were called. He was not laying down a command for everyone, because not everyone has the same gift, but he was showing that you do not need to be constantly trying to force a radical change in your life circumstances in order to be faithful. What matters most is keeping the commandments of God and walking faithfully where you are. If God has given you peace about not pursuing marriage in this season, receive that as freedom to serve Him without distraction.

You asked about flourishing in friendship, work, mental health and nobility of spirit, and you are right that these things do not happen by magic. Scripture gives a pattern that helps connect them. In his short letter to Gaius, John prays that he may prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That prayer shows a relationship between the health of the inner life and the health of the outer life. We are learning more and more how attitudes affect the body, how worry, bitterness and anger can change our chemistry and how peace and joy bring strength. That does not mean every illness is caused by a bad attitude, and it certainly does not mean that faith replaces medicine or wise care. Continue to honor God by caring for your body and by following the help He has provided through treatment. At the same time, give priority to the prosperity of your soul, because as your soul prospers through fellowship with Christ, that inner health will support every other area.

For friendships, the wisdom literature reminds us how easily friendships are broken. Gossip, repeating what someone said about another person, meddling in matters that are not our business, and making hasty commitments for others can all tear relationships apart. Quality friendships grow where there is trust, discretion and a good reputation. Ask God to make you the kind of friend you hope to find, someone filled with the Spirit, known for wisdom and reliability, who does not carry tales or stir up strife. Instead of chasing many connections, invest deeply in a few people with consistency, honesty and prayer.

For work and the desire to open a new business, remember that whatever God has called you to do is the highest calling for you. There is no higher or lower work in His eyes. The call to ministry or missions is not more spiritual than the call to run a business faithfully unto the Lord. Whatever you do, do it as serving Christ. That perspective frees you from guilt and from comparing your path to someone else. It also keeps you from the trap that has overtaken many who built a successful business but lost peace along the way. There is a story of a man whose business became very profitable, yet he lost his joy and could not sleep, walking the streets at night with anxiety. Success without a right relationship with God does not satisfy. So as you plan this business, seek wisdom, seek counsel, count the cost carefully, and keep your primary purpose clear, to be about your Father's business in whatever you do. Let faithfulness, integrity and service shape your decisions more than simply profit or image.

For mental health and for the fruit of joy, peace and self control, Scripture is very honest that self help formulas eventually come to an end. Paul came to that place in Romans chapter seven where he stopped asking how can I change myself and began to ask who will deliver me. The answer is outside ourselves. The path of following Jesus is a path of denying the self governed life and bringing the old nature to the cross, reckoning it dead and asking Christ to rule by His Spirit. Self control is not produced by trying harder alone. It is fruit that the Spirit grows as we surrender daily and plead for His help. That help often comes gradually. Just as God can give victory over a sudden temper that once flared before a person could even think, He can over time give you growing victory in areas where you now feel you have no control. Keep bringing those needs to Him honestly, stay in the Word and in prayer, and do not be discouraged if the growth is step by step. God is patient and faithful to complete His work.

Nobility of spirit grows in the same soil. Pride is the exalting of self over God, and it always leads to trouble. Humility is the path to being lifted up. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up. When you understand the hope of your calling in Christ and the riches of His grace toward you, you find strength and courage to live with generosity and grace toward others. You stop needing to control God or to control other people, and you rest in the fact that He is sovereign and good. He is not your servant to command, but He is your Father who loves to give good gifts because of His grace.

So some simple steps to take from here would be these. First, keep abiding where God has placed you, seeking to know Him more through Scripture and prayer rather than striving for a different status. Second, nurture your soul daily, because inner prosperity supports outer health. Third, cultivate friendships by being trustworthy, discreet and wise, and by committing to a small community of believers where you can give and receive. Fourth, approach your business with prayer, wise planning and a commitment to integrity, remembering that faithfulness is success in God's eyes. Fifth, when you struggle with joy, peace or self control, turn quickly from self effort to asking for the Spirit's help, confessing your need and thanking God for the deliverance that is in Christ.

God loves you and desires your good. As you walk with Him in these practical ways, He will form in you the flourishing and the nobility of spirit you are longing for, not instantly, but faithfully over time.
