Lord, we also ask that You would guard your child’s heart and mind during this time. The pressures and uncertainties of psychiatric evaluation can be heavy, but we know that You are a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Strengthen their faith, remind them of Your sovereignty, and fill them with peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Let them not be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let their requests be made known to You.
We must also speak truth into this situation with love. While we respect the role of medical professionals, we recognize that the ultimate authority belongs to You, Lord. No diagnosis, label, or human system can define a person’s identity or worth—only You can. We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or oppression that may seek to influence this process, declaring that in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1 WEB). We pray that the outcome of this evaluation would not only be just but would also lead to healing, restoration, and a deeper reliance on You.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and Scripture, allowing God’s Word to renew your mind (Romans 12:2 WEB). Seek godly counsel from those who share your faith and can offer biblical perspective. Trust that the Lord is working all things together for your good, even when the path is unclear (Romans 8:28 WEB).
