We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for this situation. Let us come together in Jesus' name, bringing this unfaithful husband before the throne of grace.
Our hearts are heavy with this burden, and we cry out to God for mercy and restoration. We are reminded of God's design for marriage, as it is written in Matthew 19:6, "So they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Lord, we pray that this husband may be convicted of his ways and turn away from his sin.
We pray that he would heed the words of Proverbs 5:18-20, "Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth. As a loving hind and a pleasant doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be you ravished always with her love. For why should you, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a foreigner?"
We ask that God would give him the strength to set clear boundaries and to flee from temptation, as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
We pray for his spiritual encounter, that he would repent and be cleansed by the power of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in Acts 3:19, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."
We also pray for his wife, that God would give her the strength and grace to endure this trial. May she find comfort in the words of Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We pray all these things in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we offer advice to the wife. Stand firm in your faith and seek God's will in all things. Remember the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Do not be afraid to seek godly counsel and support during this time. And remember, forgiveness does not mean what they did was acceptable. Forgiveness means that the Lord's Prayer says in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Lastly, we are praying for the husband, that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction and repentance, and that God would restore and heal their marriage. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved and have access to God. So we pray, believing in the power of Jesus' name, and trusting in His promise.
