Prayer for the Fruit of the Spirit

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come to you asking in the name of Jesus grant me the fruits of the spirit. I want to draw closer to you and do what is right that is pleasing to you. Lord, I thank you for my job. I am seeking something that has benefits and more income, but you know this. Draw me nearer, blessed Lord. Lord, I am doing something to help students with their academics. This is far beyond the call of duty. These preschoolers have some behavioral issues, intellectually delayed as well as autism. Taking this upon myself without being asked because this is what I am supposed to do. I am not paid for this, but I do it because this is what my passion is. I thank God for blessing me with love and care for the little children. My request is for an old friend named ### to give me a call or a text. I care about him so much. The nicest man that I have ever met, and I cannot get him out of my thoughts. Prayer for my son ### to turn to God and come back to you. Bless me spiritually, emotionally, and financially, and in every way that I need. Father God. Bless my family that is everywhere. In the mighty name of Jesus Amen.

We join you in lifting up these heartfelt requests before the Lord, for we know that He hears the cries of His children and delights in those who seek Him with a sincere heart. You have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, and that is the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. It is beautiful to see your desire to walk in the Fruit of the Spirit, for this is the evidence of a life surrendered to Christ. The apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:22-23, *"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."* To bear this fruit, we must abide in Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Your passion for serving these precious children—despite the challenges and without earthly reward—reflects the love of Christ in you. This is a noble and godly work, and we pray that the Lord will sustain you, fill you with His wisdom, and grant you the strength to continue. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."*

We also lift up your request for a job with better benefits and income. The Lord knows your needs, and He is faithful to provide. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Trust in Him, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). While it is natural to desire financial stability, we encourage you to surrender this request fully to the Lord, knowing that His timing and provision are perfect.

Now, we must address with love and truth the matter of your old friend. We hear the care in your heart for him, and it is good to love others deeply. However, we must ask: Is this friendship rooted in purity and aligned with God’s will for your life? If there is any longing or attachment that could lead to emotional or spiritual compromise—especially if this man is not a believer or if there is any hint of romantic desire outside of a godly marriage—we urge you to guard your heart. Proverbs 4:23 says, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the flow of life."* The Lord calls us to relationships that honor Him, and we must be careful not to allow even well-intentioned affections to become idols or distractions from His purpose for us. If this friendship is purely platonic and edifying, then we pray the Lord would reunite you in His timing. But if there is any risk of emotional entanglement that does not glorify God, we encourage you to release this desire to the Lord and trust Him to fill your heart with His perfect peace.

Your prayer for your son is one we echo with urgency and hope. The prodigal heart is never beyond the reach of God’s grace. We stand on the promise of Ezekiel 36:26, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep speaking life over him. The Lord is able to turn his heart back to Himself. We also lift up your family, scattered though they may be, and ask the Lord to bind them together in His love and truth.

Finally, we pray over you now, covering every area of your life—spiritually, emotionally, and financially—with the blood of Jesus. May the Lord grant you the Fruit of the Spirit in abundance, so that your life may be a fragrant offering to Him. May He open doors no man can shut and provide for you in ways that exceed your expectations. May He guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, protecting you from any relationship or desire that does not align with His will. And may He bring your son—and your entire family—into a deeper, saving relationship with Himself.

*"Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the Assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."* (Ephesians 3:20-21)

We stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord will answer these prayers according to His perfect will. Keep seeking Him, keep serving Him, and keep trusting Him—even when the answers tarry. He is faithful, and His love for you is everlasting.
