Thank you for sharing this prayer from your heart. It is encouraging to see gratitude for each new day, for family, and for time together, and a desire to place everything before the Lord.
Your surrender of your husband's work to God is right and good. I join you in asking the Lord to renew his mind and strengthen his heart, and to pour out mercy, favor and grace upon him in his workplace. True peace in our hearts does not come from trying to earn God's approval in a strict, legal way, but from understanding His grace. His grace is His loving favor toward us though we are undeserving, and when we rest in that grace we can know His peace even in demanding work. Pray that your husband would know that grace more deeply each day, and that his life would show its beauty to those around him, that others might be drawn to the Savior. May God bless the company and the people there, and use his work as a testimony of faithfulness.
You prayed that God would align your path with His ways, and you are right to remember that His ways and His thoughts are higher than ours, as Isaiah declares. He sees what we cannot see and He sees much farther than we do. To walk with Him is to trust that alignment, even when we do not understand the next step. You also asked for protection from lies and for forgiveness and to be kept close to the house of God. That is a sober and wise prayer. We do need to be clear minded and watchful in the world we live in, and to be solid in faith, in love, and in patience. When we drift, the Lord in His mercy brings us back, and through Jesus Christ alone we have forgiveness and a way to remain near to Him.
You committed your project to the Lord and asked Him to show you the way and to align your minds to see possibilities and to carry you through it. That is the work of faith and the labor of love the Scripture speaks of. God delights to guide His children when they commit their work to Him.
You also spoke honestly about the long season of waiting and asked to be still and to see a testimony come from it that brings glory to God. This touches the very heart of what the Bible calls the patience of hope. Faith, hope and love belong together, and patience is how hope waits. We often find ourselves in a hurry, but God is not in a hurry. He is patient in working out His purposes. He was patient with Abraham in fulfilling His promise, patient with Israel, and patient in sending His Son at the appointed time. We are told that we have need of patience, that after we have done the will of God we might receive the promise, and that through faith and patience we inherit what He has promised. James reminds us to be patient as a farmer waits for the precious fruit of the harvest, trusting that the Lord will bring the full fruit in His time.
So in this waiting, be confident that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Waiting is not passive. It is trusting that He will act in His perfect time and that His timing is good. The God of patience will give you comfort through the Scriptures and establish your hearts as you wait. His grace not only saves us but teaches us to live soberly, righteously and godly while we wait, not using grace as an excuse to live carelessly, but letting it train us to walk in love and holiness.
May the Lord keep you both in His grace, make you strong in faith, steadfast in love, and patient in hope as you look to Jesus. May He guide your steps, guard your walk, forgive and restore you when needed, lead you through this project step by step, and help you to be still before Him. And may what He brings forth from this season be a clear testimony of His faithfulness that gives Him all the glory.
