Your thankfulness for God's mercies that have brought you to this new term is the right place to begin, and it is good to commit all the reporting and preparations into the hands of the Lord and ask Him to go before you. Scripture shows that God often leaves room for Himself to work even when a situation looks closed to man. Under the law there was a provision for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy was incurable in human terms, so that if God chose to heal, there was a way for that healing to be acknowledged. In the same way, do not put God in a box when a door has been closed by man. Pray that He will work as He desires and open what is needed according to His will.

For the parents meetings and the dormitory project, and for the wider financial needs of food, examinations, programs and creditors, the Bible teaches that God is our provider and He honors those who put Him first. The prophet Haggai rebuked the people because they were earning but never having enough, for they had not put God first or brought the first fruits to Him. When we honor the Lord with what we have, He sustains us. The early churches also show us that giving should come from a willing heart and from joy, even in poverty, not from pressure or from using a position of leadership for personal gain. Pray that the parents will give willingly and joyfully as God moves them, and continue to thank God for every provision He brings, trusting Him to supply what is lacking without distress.

You asked for favor regarding the grade ten vacancies for next year. Scripture records how Esther found grace and favor in the sight of the king, and how God moved the heart of one in authority to grant her petition. Pray that God will soften hearts and grant favor where man has said no, while resting in the confidence that His will is best.

Your desire for peace and stability over the compound is a biblical prayer. When a people follow the Lord, blessing follows, and when they turn from Him confusion comes. Pray that the Lord will let His peace which passes understanding reign among staff and learners, and that love and teamwork will mark all your relationships with parents, teachers, learners, board members and the wider community and authorities. Leadership is a trust, and God blesses unity of purpose and mutual respect when those who lead serve faithfully rather than seeking their own benefit.

For the final year class and the target you have set, pray that God will anoint both teachers and students with wisdom, knowledge and remembrance. True understanding comes from Him, and He is able to help students recall what they have learned and apply it well, for His glory.

You also lifted up your relationship with the chair of your board, the employment need of your daughter, and the health of your family, staff and learners. God cares for each of these personal matters. Pray that He will grant wisdom for working together in unity, that He will open the right door of employment for your daughter in His timing, and that He will keep you all in health. For the sensitive matter of payment and the tax issue you mentioned, pray for wisdom and for an amicable resolution, trusting God to make a way without distress and to guide you in handling what is owed with integrity.

Above all, remember that God has made only one provision for the forgiveness of our sins and for bringing us to Himself, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. It is in His name alone that we have access to the throne of grace, and the Spirit bears witness to our hearts of this truth. We join you in sealing these prayers in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that He who began a good work will bring it to completion.
